Villa was awful in every single department, you cannot in any way play a match like this in a finals.
Busto was great in defense, but wasn't that good in attack at all (bar Havlickova).

I guess that with Bown, Akinradewo, Tamas and Scott, Harmotto will be left out.
Big mistake if so: she has proved to be one the best middleblockers in the world right now, and she's so skilled both in attack and blocking. It would be an inadequate choice (IMO obviously).

Great match, for sure. I agree with Anton, the match was very entertaining, but it definitely wasn't the best level, volleyball-wise at least.
It had everything else, drama, atmosphere, tension, but obviously the level of the attacks and blocking wasn't at the top.
Anyway I'm happy for Villa, because the lost Guiggi which is such a key player for them, and also Bosetti for Pavan was a great change, Caterina absolutely changed the match
Finally a good match again for Wilson, great game by Berg, Cruz and Lucia Bosetti were fairly good in reception and defense, and did their own in attacking as welI (even though percentages are not that good).
I still believe Busto is favourite for the championship, but this loss surely was a big achievement for Villa, on the confidence side specially.

Am I the only one that thinks that Lloyd is already really close to Berg's level? Or even beyond?
Today's match was incredible, way better than yesterday's quality-wise.
Great match by both teams, and a superb tie-break. Wonderful atmosphere in Piacenza, as well. They really deserved to win the match and bring it to a third one

Great 1st set by Kazan, nothing special from Fenerbache in the second which they should have lost, awful third set by Kazan

The game: very bad one by Villa; they played very well the second and the third set, but they just couldn't finish them. I'm very disappointed at them; great match by Cannes's middle-blockers and by Antonjevic, all of them are world-class players, really at the top of their roles.
But, let me say this first: SHAME on the organization. Hall more than half empty (and if we consider that this hall has 6000 seats, which means it is not a very big one for a F4), awful time-outs management without being able most of the times to understand what was being said by the coaches. And come on, I couldn't stand watching the players covering their eyes with the hands because of the sun coming from some windows; that's something that shouldn't happen at a F4.

Hahaha yeah! People should be more objective at times, also considering that the prizes will finally be awarded by journalists worldwide.

Vaio you're definitely right; italian league is not as good as it used to be, and this year is the lowest it has reached in the last 10 years at least.
But, it is still by far the best league in Europe. And there are some many factors you are not taking into account: it is easy to play in ECL after having played with very low-quality opponents at the weekend in yuor own league. In Italy it doesn't work the same way: every Sunday you have to play your best to beat your opponent, while Rabita has played 5 matches in 4 months in Azeri League. This makes a huge difference as well. We'll see what the rest of the season says. I repeat what I said: the only stronger teams are Rabita and Fenerbache.

I think we should stop talking about this topic...the truth is pretty clear and evident in my opinion.
The strongest teams in Europe are from Turkey and Azeirbajan, and they are Fenerbache and Rabita. There are some other strong teams in Europe, such as the Dinamos, Eczacibacsi and Vakifbank but none of them is as impressive.
That said, Azeri league is the most boring ever with teams playing 1 match a month, turkish level is so low and Russian is probably the best of these 3 even if not even comparable with the italian one.
Anyway, great match yesterday between Busto and Modena and a great match by Piacenza as well. Good luck for the finals today.
