And how about gaUchosite :D The best commentators for me are Todor Popov and Ivaylo Gavrilov.

The worst def is Yovkov's Sancho Panza - Cenko Simov! I have heard him commenting a match and it's - :aww:
I hope Vissoto is OK, but he should be more careful, at his age the risk of injuries increases... :(

Eurosport is well known for great commentators :white:

Actually on a second thought the guy is not that bad ...he's got a nice voice and the most important - he's not Sasho Yovkov, which makes him perfect

Are Argentina even trying ?( Judging by the score, Brasil are having a walk in the park

No, unfortunately. I knew that it'll be hard for Argentina but they play under my expectations for now, Brazil are so calm that they even don't have to put in action any little tricks of theirs :P

Reading this last pages depressed me, in one year we went from being considered a dangerous team to being the shit of the world :(

Oh, that's not true, you're nothing like the shit of the world. As ViSta says by Bulgarians not only you're considered dangerous, but maybe even the most dangerous team! :D Honestly, if we had to take part in the draw, Argentina would have been the last team I would like our team to play against in the 1/4-final. Moreover with a magician like your setter you are possible to surprise any team, that's for sure. But I def think that Brazil are a difficult match up for you and this kinda lowers your chances at least on paper for advancing in the tournament, but on the other hand as we already saw, anything can happen, so heads up :)

Oh, I'm gonna ask you the same question as I asked Joro - if Russia gets Argentina you would say they were lucky, or you're talking like that just because you don't like Brazil(I suppose)? Somebody had to take Argentina.

You don't understand what I'm saying. It doesn't matter who will take Argentina. I'm refering to what you said - that we have also luck to play against Germany who are not considered favourite for the title, but what I told you is that it's not luck in our case - we won the group and that's how we won the right and deserved to avoid some of the main favourites for the title. While Brazil and the 3 other teams participated in a full draw, so they had to count on luck, not we. Draw is a lottery, which means that to 'win' in the draw you need luck, coz it doesn't depends on anything you can do anymore, just a destiny. So you can't call us lucky and to compare us with the Brazil's case, that's what I'm trying to tell you.

And Argentina are not weak or something, they just play difficult against Brazil, which are always so tough opponent when it comes to big tournaments and direct eliminations.

I want a killing 5-setter. I want us to lose first two sets in a really miserable way and then raise from the ashes, and win next 3 sets in a strong way with a final demonstation of our strenght in an epic tiebreak. That would give us wings (not the ones Buglarian and Italian guys have on their butts :D) and self confidence before the upcoming semifinal......I'm such a daydreamer, am I?

I don't think you're a dreamer,Ola, I aslo see a 5-set drama thriller coming in POL-RUS 1/4 final. We'll see which of both teams is gonna stand the pressure of the direct elimination. IMO Poland has advantage in that aspect, coz they have played recently much more matches with high pressure due to their full and quantity participation in WL, while Russian team kinda 'covered' for this competition and this 1/4 final will be their 1st really meaningful match since a lot of time. So in some way Poles' psychic should be let's say in better shape after the WL, 'cause lately it has been more trained than the Russian one. On the other hand Russia is a great team with great possibilities, we all know what players they have and who knows? Maybe during their "isolation" from the WL they have made important improvemnts about their game, psychic and attitude, but the problem is that they are still not tested and the first test is coming on a 1/4 final pahse on Olympic Games against a strong oponent...Damn, it'll be a tough battle and psychic will have main role!
Hey! Our shorts may have a shitty wings (or whatever it's that :P ), but look at this link below! They also have ResistexCarbon! (whatever it means :D ) So obviously according the article, these are some super high-tech shorts 8) :

:white: The speed gun must have been broken. Isn't Petkovic serving only float serves?

Or maybe it has been written 1.20 KM/H but they didn't see clear the decimal point :D

Why? 'Cause they have easier opponent? I can say the same about Bulgaria, because I'm sure they're gonna win their quaterfinal.
Some teams are lucky, some not.

Well, we can't be called lucky or unlucky, because unlike Brazil we won the group and that's how we deserved to avoid some of the main favourites for the title. While Brazil and the 3 other teams participated in a full draw, so luck is important to them. I also agree that Brazil (unlike both Russia and Poland) had some luck in the draw, cause they play well against Argentina and they have very big chance to qualify for the semi.

I like this guy, so I was also happy with his success after long break. My dream is to travel to Dominicana Republic, cause I am fascinated by this country. Maybe some day... :)

Yes, I've also heard that it's a very beautiful place. I wish you to go there  (then you can share here your impressions and we all will envy you, hehe :D )
Talking about Domenicana, they also won the silver in men's 400m and the winner is Kirani James from Grenada. The guy is only 19 but he's already an olympic champion, a world champion and also there is a boulevard in Grenada's capital named after him! What more to wish!

Yesterday very class performance of Ostapchuck on the shot put final! The Chinese Gong absolutely answers to her name - the sound she emits is... :sos:
Very emotional and touching evening for Felix Sanchez! Big congratulations for him! :obey:
Isinbaeva didn't win the gold, obviously she is not in her best shape, but IMO she still shows better techic than her oponents.

I doubt Bulgaria will have any chances for gold, cause if we win tomorrow we will play either Poland(they will surely want revenge and will play at their 100% I'm sure) or Russia(our European Argentina). And really, who chose such pairings? I mean from quarters to semis?

Gold? What gold? Our officially proclaimed preliminary aim was to win two matches - against GB and Aussies, so we've accomplished it on 1000%, you know with all strenght '5 for 4' - surplus in the plan!!!
I think that we have a pretty good chance to reach top 4, it will be a disappointment for me if we don't grab it, coz circumstances are favorable - Germany are strong opponent, but still they are vincible, I think it's in our abilities to beat them. If we qualify for the final four it would be a huge success considering all that happened last months! And medal would be...a dream come true, but it still seems so far away to me, ah...

btw, Vital Heynen's words from today: "We have played Bulgaria seven times this summer so we know this team very well. We became friends and now the friends will play each other" :D

A bit offtopic for Bulgarian users only: I was thinking and thinking and thinking for 2 years now who does Visotto resemble me. Last night I got the flash! This guy Shaibata from Komicite? Anyone :D Just a bit taller and darker, but otherwise  :aww:

I don't follow the show - I have watched it just several times (I rarely watch any TV since couple of years), but I checked it now on youtube and you're absolutely right! :rolll: As for Visotto, he is also taller version of Pinocchio :D
From Komicite I know Mnogo si tap Sashe...I dedicate it to the ex vice president of BFV ofc :D

Top 2 favorites for the gold and one of them is not even making it past the 1/4 final :cheesy:

This match is really torturing me...I mean my prediction game :D I'm ready with all other prognosis, but this one is kinda hard for me, so that's why I think I'll look for some transcendental signs for it :call:

Under the article about Savani in FIVB page they have posted list of the men’s fastest servers till now on the OGs:

    127 KM/H Cristian Savani ITA v GRB
    127 KM/H Gyorgy Grozer GER v RUS
    126 KM/H Gyorgy Grozer GER v USA
    126 KM/H Tsvetan Sokolov BUL v ARG
    125 KM/H Cristian Savani ITA v AUS
    124 KM/H Tsvetan Sokolov BUL v POL
    124 KM/H Gyorgy Grozer GER v SRB
    124 KM/H Ivan Zaytsev ITA v POL
    124 KM/H Cristian Savani ITA v ARG
    120 KM/H Matt Anderson USA v RUS
    120 KM/H Vlado Petkovic SRB v USA

I can easily see the teams in the upper part of the muse's pic with the scheme, competing who will show weaker psychics in the phase of the direct eliminations on the road to the final  Don't forget that these are the OGs - competition of a different caliber...there will be a lot of gypsum on the court :D

Germany vs. Bulgaria or Grozer vs. Sokolov or...... Grozer vs. Bulgaria

Who's Italian Player is that on the picture? Looks really funny

It's Mastrangelo (and the Bulgarian is Teodor Todorov) :D

Am I crazy or Bari is one of the best liberos in the world? Trentino's number 1?

He is a walking tragedy IMO

    Quote

Am I crazy or Savani, Zaytsev and Parodi are for sure one of the best receivers in the world???

Especially Savani is a quite weak receiver, he just can serve like a monster, the other two are not bad, but there are many other players in the world who are at least on their level and even better.

    Quote

Am I crazy or Birarelli is great MB? Mastrangelo?

Birarelli is more in the role of a bench player, and Mastrangelo was absolutely nothing special today. He's not that Luigi from some years ago.

Am I crazy or Berutto is great coach?

    Personally I don't like him a lot...

God! I can't belive we finished the group on 1st place! If someone has told me that just two weeks ago I would laugh! :obey:

We made so many service errors today! But our attack was alien! :super:

Aussies keep trolling our pool
this is getting interesting now :sos:

    Naughty Aussies!
I haven't watched Australia's matches with which they have qualified for the OGs, but with their game on the olympic tournament they showed that they deserve their place here.

7 men under 10 seconds in the 100m final. Asafa Powell, who is usually pussystyle in all important runs, today excelled all expectations and made a World Record on fucking up. This boy is a complete mess in the head. So weak mentally. Bolt wins, Blake second, Gatlin third - expected first three. Pity for Gay who is fourth with a super result. That's about it in the competition of the thugs and clowns...

Absolutely agree about Asafa - he's the greatest looser...once again he fell in some black hole!
btw, I find this waterpool in the steeplechase very strange! :what: I mean isn't it kinda unpleasant to run with soaking wet feet? There is no way not to leak some water in the trainers...

Tervel Pulev is semifinalist in the boxing competition in some category.

Which finally means a medal from the :olympia: I wish him now to get the maximum. Go, Tervel! :box:
