Former Serbian captain Vesna Citakovic gave an interview. Here is the link:

    http://www.novosti.rs/vesti/sp…to-mora-odmah-da-se-menja

Shortly, she said that something must be changed immediately cause it's obvious that everything is going downhill. She doesn't know the reason though, but says it's something that Volleyball federation, the head coach and the players should deal with. She is worried about the presentation of Serbian team at EC 2011 in Italy and Serbia.''With the kind of game, atmosphere and energy that was presented at WCH we can't win medal.'' She said she doesn't want to get into coach-players relation but said that she had no problem with Terzic, that they had good cooperation.

Ivana Djerisilo attended the match of her former club Crvena Zvezda and Vakifbank in CL. Zoran Terzic was also at the game.

I hope she will recover soon and start playing for her club.
After she had operation on her shoulder she was delighted by the menagement of Galatasaray:''They sent me bouquet of flowers in club colours with the message 'Get well' written in Serbian. They have touched my heart. Here, they didn't even ask me how I was feeling".

I have no doubt that Terzic will remain the head coach of serbian team .He already said that 8th place at WCH is not a failure and I am sure the people from Volleyball federation will support him.So he will lead the team to EC 2011. Maybe he will step down if we fail to qualify for OG 2012. Just maybe.
I don't know how everybody from the team feels about Terzic but this interview of Djerisilo will not have much consequences as long as the current captain and vicecaptain of NT are saying that atmosphere is great in the team.

    Off Topic:
It happens to me. Now that I'm better in Russian than in Serbian, when I'm trying to speak Serbian, I always confuse and say "horosho" instead of "dobro".

So you speak Russian and Serbian, and you are studying Japanese, right? Very impressive.
I am learning Italian and Portuguese. Italian words are easier to pronounce.
    Good luck with Japanese!

Picci is not a saint, but nor is Jaqueline. She screams like a banshee and she had some controversial behaviour too. Just remember her saying bad words to Spanish player Fernandez. It is all on youtube - "briga do Jaqueline".

Some players behave well, others do not. Unfortunately some fans just do not want to admit that their favourite players are sometimes a little bit over the top. For exemple I admit I abasolutely don't like Gioli's behaviour on court.

If you pay attention in every match there are always the same players involved in quarrels or controversial interviews - Picci, Ramirez, Jaqueline, Fabiana

Well, nobody said that Jaqueline is a saint. ''Canter '' just said that he likes her. Just like some people like Piccinini although she was making faces while Manon Flier was receiving her MVP award at 2009.But that doesn't mean that they both are not good people. Lets try not to make too much of all this.
And what about Jaqueline's screams? Surely she doesn't scream to scare Piccinini. Such behaviour was some other pleyers' speciality.

This was the most pathetic match of Serbian team that I've ever seen. It would have been better if they didn't enter the court. I think that in their heads they already checked out after the match against Japan and I think they will lose all the matches in the second phase. Well, who knows, maybe something good will come out of it afterall.
    Congrats to Turkey!

Serbia vs Poland - a horrible game between two pathetic teams.

I'm glad Serbia won, but I'm not getting excited or anything.

Me neither, but at least we are still alive in competition. Japan and Turkey are beatable and since China lost to Turkey, well, we could even get to the semis :D. I am angry that we became a team of weak spikers after being a team of great spikers.

Here are the stats for the first friendly match:

The second friendly match willl be on Tuesday, 26th
Serbian team is travelling to Japan on Wednesday, 27th.

Did Veljkovic recover from her injury? hopefully she will play amazingly well in WCH  she's my favourite player in the Serbian team.

Hopefully we will know more about Veljkovic's injury status after friendly games with China. I hope she will be able to play, she is very important for our team. :obey:

    Serbian team for WCH:

    Setters:Maja Ognjenovic, Ana Antonijevic
    Opposites:Jovana Brakocevic, Sanja Malagurski
    Libera: Suzana.Cebic, Silvija Popovic
Middle blockers:Natasa Krsmanovic, Stefana Veljkovic, Milena Rasic, Dragana Marinkovic
OH:Jelena Nikolic, Brizitka Molnar, Jovana Vesovic, Jasna Majstorovic

Before WCH Serbia will play 2 friendly matches with China.

Unilever presented their new uniform for next season. The blue is lighter then last seasons. I liked it reminds me Italy uniform..hehehe

Well, I must say I don't like this new uniform. This blue is very common and similar to some other teams in Superliga. If I didn't watch carefully I could think this is Sao Caetano. I really liked ''azul marinho'', it was unique. With this new colour they kind of lost some of their identity.

Oh my goodness...so is it an unsure thing if she is going to play in WCH? only 2 weeks left ;( ;( come on! hopefully she recovers by herself asap. I just can't imagine Serbia without Stefana Veljkovic... (though Rasic is a good player too)

Yes, it is unsure but there is still hope that she could make it.

Terzic will take these 14 players to Alassio:

Setter:MAJA OGNJENOVIĆ (OLIMPIJAKOS PIREJ, GRČKA) I ANA ANTONIJEVIĆ (KAN, FRANCUSKA).

Libero: SUZANA ĆEBIĆ (ZUL, NEMAČKA) I SILVIJA POPOVIĆ (RABITA BAKU, AZERBEJDŽAN).

MB:NATAŠA KRSMANOVIĆ (RABITA BAKU , AZERBEJDŽAN), MILENA RAŠIĆ (KAN , FRANCUSKA) I DRAGANA MARINKOVIĆ (KONELJANO, ITALIJA).

Opp and OH:JOVANA BRAKOČEVIĆ (EVERGRANDE, KINA), AMADEA DURAKOVIĆ (KAN,
FRANCUSKA), SANJA MALAGURSKI (CRVENA ZVEZDA, BEOGRAD), JELENA NIKOLIĆ
(VAKIFBANK GUNEŠ ISTANBUL, TURSKA), BRIŽITKA MOLNAR (PANATINAIKOS ATINA,
GRČKA), JOVANA VESOVIĆ (DINAMO BUKUREŠT, RUMUNIJA) I JASNA MAJSTOROVIĆ
    (KONSTANCA, RUMUNIJA).

Sorry for OT, but when you say ''brasilians'', you can't mean the players, right? Maybe only some of the fans but not the players. I mean I haven't heard any brasilian player commenting about Costagrande nor about being already in the semifinals. Nobody discarded Italy :) . Italy is a medal contender even without Costagrande , as Brasil is despite of loosing Mari and perhaps Paula Pequeno. I only remember Ze Roberto saying that having Costagrande is good for Italy and that she is almost complete volleyball player. :obey:

There will probably be 4 host cities (instead of 2 as it was previously planned):

    Italy-Monza, Busto Arsizio
    Serbia-Belgrade, Zrenjanin

The final match will be played in Belgrade.
