It must be hard for girls cause they played amazing WCH, 2 great VNLs, beat USA and Italy in OQT and on OG when it mattered most they couldn’t perform their best. Stysiak was terrible and she carried this team 2 years.

USA is clearly beatable but we play with an OPP so unless Smarzek comes in and have a great match USA will win this 3-0.

Let’s now see if Stysiak wakes up like in OQT or WCH otherwise it gets very tough to beat USA.

Brazil looks like gold medal for now.

But also China is to blame, they played much worse than in previous matches.

The fact that referee is second scoring player for Turkey is another topic.

Where is China from group stage? They are like 50% of theirselves.

On mens side Poland and Japan played terribly in group stage and now one beat great Slovenia and the other almost beats favourites Italy ;D

For some reason I believe Serbia will play better than today. China is also tricky opponent and very different to European style.

Since now it’s gonna be a different tournament. Brazil also topped VNL with great form and what happened later?

Knock out stage is very different to playing in pools and each team can win including DR.

At least everyone is happy about the result

If Poland wins for 3 points they sill play Serbia. Only way to play Turkey is to win 3-2 but lose many little points

So it’s known already that USA is 5th, Turkey is 6th, Serbia 7th and DR 8th.

If Brazil wins for 3 points we have Brazil DR, Italy Serbia, China Turkey and Poland USA.

Brazil will surely give their best to play DR but Poland for sure prefers to play USA than Serbia… tough call for Poland haha.

Yeah especially that Brazil and Poland are playing each other today number 2 and 3 teams in the world

It’s very probable that Poland will finish 4th or 5th even if they lose 0-3 or 1-3 and USA has a high chance of finishing 4th or 5th as well so could be potentially another Poland USA match on paper seems like they play each other all the time..

As of now my predictions are (based on Brazil beating Poland, China beating Serbia and Italy beating Turkey):

Brazil - Dominican Rep

Italy - Serbia

China - Turkey

Poland - USA

Trashed are the scores against Brazil. They had some set points in order to force a tie-break and with that, over passing DOM in points. (regardless if they lose that tie-break or not).

To be honest I would attribute this more to Poland being nervous and shaky than Japan’s great plays. They made so many UEs just like against Brazil but Poland was unable to capitalize on them.

It’s a day of boring matches it seems..
