Reception is collapsing, you can’t use MBs who are only ones who can help Stysiak. Wolosz can’t score for Lukasik and Rozanski. And they need to step up
OHs are playing much worse than in VNL, but Turkish OHs are bad too. It's just Vargas who made the difference with her serve when Poland was on the lead.
It would be great if the Ech were back to 2 x 6 teams pools.
TBH Bulgaria performance just shows these ECH have no sense. They are just before Olympics qualifications and its pretty much 5 teams at a decent level.
Pretty much everything was decided at a draw ceremony and Italy and Netherlands were given a free ticket to semis. And Serbia got one straight to the final.

What a joke this FIVB ranking has become. Serbia - world champion - is just 6th team after ONE event after WCH 😅 if they won’t qualify directly to OG they may not have a spot in the rankings to qualify 😅
I mean, congrats FIVB. If China wins today or Turkey they will be number 1 without even making TOP4 in OG or WCH. China even failed to qualify to TOP8 in Tokio. But well.
It seems China peaked for finals while Poland peaked before to advance. Anyway hopefully they will do better in 3rd place match.
The top team maybe not but among the Top 3 Euro teams yes.
I mean in WCH Poland was 3rd European team and only team which could beat Serbia and almost did it. Also they defeated 4th placed USA.
This year they won preliminary phase of VNL (so considering Italy used not their first team and Serbia lacked Tijana still they are 3rd). They also beat all European teams except for Netherlands.
So I don’t really get why Poland is not 3rd best European team based on real data and scores?

POL - JPN 0-3, they lose 10 pts

but you need to multiply it further x2 so if we lose 0-3 to Germany its -13 but also +13 for them so it reduces the difference by 26. It’s quite an impact on the rankings.
It also wouldn't be easy against Japan
Sorry but Japan can’t beat Italy 3rd team. What is so hard exactly?
Additionally ranking wise it would be better to play Japan or Italy. If we lose against Germany it impacts rankings a lot and decreases OG chances. If we lose to Italy or Japan it has almost 0 impact and therefore 0 pressure.

And as a prize they get to play Germany instead of Italy or Japan

The idea of the ranking is OK as previous one was even more unfair in terms of keeping the points for 4 years or giving points for advancing to events where teams outside Europe had it much easier.
FIVB just gave VNL too much importance, of course they want to push the teams to bring all best players, but having the points factor of 40 while WCH are 45 and Olympics 50 made this bit of a mess. If it was more like 30 or 25 it would work much better. As for now VNL match is points wise just like WCH which is nit good.

But when you are over 20 years old and did play Cuban NT in the past and get offers from Turkey and Serbia to naturalize you then it has MONEY written all over it.
And I don’t care which country it is or is it Vargas, Leon, Leal or whatever.
If they could play for Cuba they would do it. They left because they want to play other leagues not because they love other country so much.
