Today in a Dutch paper: confirmation of yesterday's match: Morisson wants Indy Baijens (MB) to change to opposite. Time will tell wether it will be succesful, but at least I agree at the moment there is a big gap (after Sloetjes), so action is needed.

FUrthermore: OGQT in Catania is logically the main goal in summer. A little surprising: World Cup in Japan seems more important than ECH.

It is really pity Judith Pietersen retired at such relative young age. Such an experienced allround player would still have been a very useful..Now there is huge gap after the known OHs (Grothues, Daalderop, Buijs) ...Jasper and especially Oude Luttikhuis are a joke at international level. (I count Plak as an Opp, since her non existing reception-skill.

Another problem is still the libera-position. Schoot and Knip will not improve anymore and are far from international level and there is no new prospect as far as I can see.

Sarah van Aalen (setter), Indy Bayens, Laura de Zwart (MB) and Annique Meyers, Dagmar Boom (OH) will be the next generation.

Congratulations to Serbia for the gold !!! In my opinion a deserved win. In the end the Boskovic-Mihaijlovic is again - like ECH 2017 - a guarantee for the gold.

Huge congratulations to Italy for their fabulous tournament. Related tot ECH 2017, they have set a huge step forward. As everybody already mentioned: their team is still very young and will be one of the main contenders for gold medal at Tokyo Olympics.

Concerning my own country: I think with this limited - without De Kruijf and Daalderop - squad, 4th place is the maximum. There are 6 or 7 teams in the wold having better players than the Dutch team. A lucky draw helped us to eventually the 4th place.

    Thank you very much!

Could you please download also the match Germany - Netherlands from sportdeutschland.tv and upload it? I do have IDM, but I can't watch or download from sportdeutschalnd.tv because I have a Dutch IP . Thank you very much in advance!

According to Jamie Morisson it is uncertain wether De Kruijf and Daalderop will make it to Japan. Both are still injured. 'We are working really hard on their recovery, but it is uncertain wether they will make it '.

At the moment there is a 17-roster. Next week there are 3 friendlies in Italy. At 20th September there will be a pressconference with the announcement of the final 14-roster.

If Daalderop will not make it, Nicole Oude Luttikhuis will take her spot. For De Kruijf's substition are two candidates: Polder and Koolhaas.

According to Dutch press Daalderop and De Kruijf are still injured. On Instagram I saw video both of them doing aquagym.

I really don't know wether they will make it to Japan (1 month left).

Morisson said he isn't sure about the 14-roster for Japan. At this moment there is a 17-roster.

My guess the following players are certain: Dijkema, Sloetjes, Plak, Buijs, Grothues, Beliën, Knip, Schoot, Lohuis, Jasper.

Uncertain: De Kruijf, Daalderop, Polder, Koolhaas, Stoltenborg, Bongaerts, Oude Luttikhuis.

About the absence of Stoltenborg, De Kruijf and Daalderop:

Stoltenborg is not in the roster because Morisson prefered Bongaerts for this tournament likely. Nothing special. In two weeks there are friendlies agianst Germany, possibly Femke will return there.

De Kruijf: indeed Robin wrote on Instagram that she is ony a few weeks back in practice, so she is not yet on match-level..

Daalderop: she makes me worry a little...During the summer, she has played only a few matches...this week she isn't in the roster again..hopefully we will see her in two weeks in Germany-friendlies.

P.S. I'm speechless about Juliët Lohuis' development in only a few months...amazing! Unfortunately for her, she already extended her contract in Münster for next season. I think she could play for a better club meanwhile. Also Koolhaas made a step forward, related to the previous years (I am still not a fan, but I must admit she really improved). How many players are allowed in WCH-roster, 12 or 14? In my opinion Beliën, De Kruijf and Lohuis should have a spot in the roster. 4th spot --> Polder or Koolhaas.

    Dutch roster for Final Six:

    S: Bongaerts, Dijkema, Stoltenborg
    MB: Beliën, Lohuis, Koolhaas
    Opp: Sloetjes. Plak
    OH: Daalderop, Buijs, Jasper, Grothues
    L: Schoot, Knip

I think it is a wise decision to bring Bongaerts. She is more stable than Stoltenborg.

I hope Lohuis will play as a starter. She fully deserves it !!

The results in Apeldoorn and Rotterdam were certainly with ups and downs..

Likely Buijs and Daalderop are not 100% fit, so that explains for some part why Buijs played so bad this week and Daalderop stayed outside court totally.

I watched all matches on Dutch tv, and I must say I'm totally fed up with Grothues, after het comments in the post-match interviews....what an arrogant b*tch she is :hit: :hit: :hit: Now I understand why she has always troubles with the club she plays for...her character must be really bad.

In both matches (Italy and Serbia) she got blocked 100 times...and still after the match she couldn't deal with criticism by the interviewer....I

In general, I hate Grothues, Schoot and Dijkema for their totally over the top celebrating of easy points on court :hit:

According an insider, Yvon Bellien signed with Besiktas. It will be the top transfer for the middle teams it seems. Also Alessia stayed in the team, the sweet surprise can be Besiktas next year with 2-3 good players added to the roster.

Besiktas might be not as strong as Bursa's roster, but certainly Besiktas is much more fun to live in than Bursa..

Polder reminds me a lot of De Kruijf in terms of playing style, and I think at the age of 20 she's even better than Robin was when she was 20, so I hope she can grow a lot and show her potential also in NT this summer.

In my opinion she is a little bit more a player like Beliën :D she is a good server and she is better in blocking than attacking. I'm very curious where she will sign for upcoming season..

But, since Lohuis is also more a Beliën-type, I guess Morisson will try Polder at Robin's position.

Of course, it is hard to find a MB attacking like Robin...there are only a few worldwide...

Intersting battle will be between Daalderop and Buijs.
