Congrats to the US team, nothing amazing but good enough to beat the weaker one.
No one from Polish side played good, maybe only Korneluk, pity, but that’s the reality.

Skinner is really good
Jurczyk is good only when the set is perfect, she's not distributing anything to blocking, Alagierska for sure won't make a miracle but she can help more.
Wołosz is quickly to change for 2nd set. She is terrible today. We looked way better with Wenerska in this short moment
I agree. I hope Lavarini doesn't care the name-values but the actual performances.
Serbia works better with Drca, Poland works better with Wenerska for NOW.
Wolosz trying to play Haak/Vargas/Bosko-ball with Stysiak. Forcing her from impossible positions.
Period.
Stysiak will never be good with fast sets, she just needs balls for example those were set to Gamova, Diouf and maybe Haneef-Park. But honestly I don't think it's only a setting problem, Magda is completely out of shape or mentally not ready for this level.
Gabi is just AMAZING!
I need her to win the gold medal and be the MVP, she is absolutely sunning.
Turkey is set to compete against either Serbia or Italy, which promises to be an exhilarating match-up.
It will be particularly exciting to watch Vargas go head-to-head with either Boskovic or Egonu.
China's setter is really awful today. Bad choices.
And Sahin is playing really well today IMO
It is peculiar. In my perception, China has always been a formidable and relentless competitor when facing my favorite teams. However, their approach today seems to differ from what I have come to expect.
These close matches often ending in tie-break are indeed not suitable for the faint of the heart.
I agree, but that is the beauty of sports, the stronger ones always win.
I smell a tie break
China is disappointing, I thought they'd nail this match.
Is this new middle Berenika Tomsia's little sister?
Haha, she’s not. But she really looks alike Tomsia with her old nose.
You misspelled Chiaka and JWO
I didn’t
Word.
Only a few setters were impressive, as you said, including Poulter and Diao were good, even Ognjenovic wasn’t at her 100%.
Wolosz, Drca, Ratzke, Sahin- I’d say decent but it may differ on every user’s views.
Marte, Orro, Ozbay - underperformed indeed.
Hancock and Carlini - too short playing time to judge.
Best 7 from the preliminarily rounds
S: Diao
OPP: Boskovic
MB: Korneluk, Ana Carolina or Yuan
OH: Gabriela, Li
L: De Gennaro or Brazilian libero
Disappointing ones
S: Marte or Orro
OPP: Stysiak
MB: Erdem, Stevanovic
OH: Karakurt, Lukasik
L: Idk
Congratulations for Brazil! Amazing performance Gabi
Embrassing performance by Poland in 3rd set. We played without Opp. Stysiak was so weak, Malwina today too. Medrzyk is called the best receiver in polish team, but I didnt saw that today
Anyway, I hope that we will continue win games against USA, but it will be hell difficult ...
Stysiak and Lukasik have been invisible, even against Kenya they didn’t do much.
I’d fix the sets to Stysiak higher and slower, but I don’t think it’s only the setting problem, she may be a bit tensed or simply out of shape.
They had tons of chances to grab the 2nd set but then all blown 🤦♂️
My predictions:
BRA 3-0 DOM
ITA 2-3 SRB
USA 3-1 POL
CHN 3-1 TUR
Ana Carolina is amazing.
Honestly, I presumed a 20-25 20-25 18-25 match for Brazil, so it’s so much better.
I hope Alagierska stays, she upgrades the block.
