People around here likes to read? I hope so!

Let's talk about the books we are reading right now, favorite authors, favorite books, literature from your contry (recommendations) etc :win:

Recently I read Jorge Amado's book Gabriela. It's not my type book, but I liked it.

Today, I'm reading White Nights, from Dostoyevsky.

I can't believe that the Olympic failure is the only reason of Ovchinnikov's suicide...then what should Massimo Barbolini do after the 3rd failure in a row(Beijing2008-Wch2010-London2012)... :what: :aww:
I think Ovchinnikov may have had some other troubles that we don't know, and will never know...
Anyway I'm very sad, this is a really terrible news.

    I agree.

RIP.... there's no logical reason for that kind of stuff! 8|

But for now, suicide is still a rumor, I guess.

Cuba wants both male and female NT teams to participate in our SL! But they want to play as a team

Ary Graça said no and I agree with him. They would basically use our league as an luxury training, and what good it would bring for our volleyball, for our league?

If they split and play in small teams, it would start to be interesting! The smallest teams would gain competitiveness, and the league level would grow!

But China made them an offer, said that they could play as a team and would fight for the title! So I believe they won't chose Brazil!

But I believe our league is strong, we are olympics medalists, it would be smarter choose Brazil :win:

:what: :what: What a bullshit  The sponsors' main aim is to be heard on the TV with using volleyball. If you block that, then any company would like to be sponsor for the teams. This problem must be solved as soon as possible.

That's almost impossible to change. The TV channel "Globo" just call the teams by the name of the city, no "free merchandising", as they say :aww:

At the same time, our federation supports that, because they sells the rights of transmission to them

What is the expected recovery time?

Will she be able to play this season for Fenerbahce?Anyway, even if she lose this season for Fener, she should do the surgery immediately.

I heard that Gamova got married in 2007 or 2008. It was false?

Or is this her second marriage?

    I'm confused

Gamova and Goncharova getting married in the same day, too much coincidence!

The year has 365 days, come on girls! :D

Gamova and Goncha were married on the same day, and Makhno on the next day. Although Gamova and Goncha aren't really friends, their relationship is not as bad as the relationship between Gamova and Sokolova.

Bad relashionship between Gamova and Sokolova?

I never heard anything about it 8|

Brazil's win against Russia is a turning point in Brazil volleyball's history. They never won an important match (in or out) in an important competition (Olympics or WCH) against their arch rivals Russia and Cuba.

Well, since the 90's we lost to Russia just 2 times in OG (1992 and 2004). That was the huge problem, the 24x19.

We won in 2008, 3x0. But now it's definitle over!

Russia's players never won their olympic gold medal, and Brazil has 2 olympics golds!!!!

    Who could have imagined?

I still remember that match, how I felt...

Now I can watch that match or talk about it without any problems or bad feelings now!
