Hi everyone... Yes it's been a while!
I've just heard that Volleyball England will be hosting an invitational on 12th-13th September at the Copper Box in Stratford (London Olympic Park). I'm yet not allowed to say which teams are in, but we are talking Champions League level (Men and Women). Preliminary details are here and the lineup will be announced in the next few weeks. Another crazy match...Aachen won 1st easily, then Thüringen came back, in 3rd set Aachen was up 24:20 but couldn't use their set points and Thüringen won the set eventually, then in 4th Aachen dominated again and took the match to 5th set. Thüringen started 8:0 there and won easily in the end with amazing blocking, 7 blocks in tie-break
And Aachen 1/15 attacks in tie-break....Lorena Zuleta with 0/9 in attack but incredible 11 blocks (3 in tie-break) 
Not sure what happened to Aachen in the tie break, but it seems like quite often one team totally loses the plot. But overall quite an entertaining match with some good rallies. I only discovered after the game that Brinkmann had been in bed all week with a dodgy stomach and only started practicing again this morming... I guess that's why she only scored 19 points tonight

I don't understand the article, why Does she have to undergo an other surgery?
As I understand it, the reconstructed achilles is the wrong length and the intervention is to correct it... Which would mean several weeks back in a cast -
