William to Eder... Are you kiddin' me?

Awards are based on statistics from last 4 matches only. And according to stats on cev website, Atanasijević was 2nd best scorer in Copenhagen after Vettori, Lisinać was 2nd best blocker after Muserskiy and Alexiev was best receiver (if we count perfect reception, not positive).

I think Patrick Steuerwald is even shorter than Woicki.

Finally we have good Brazilian player in Plusliga, which makes me feel very happy. We remember personalities like Bozko or Nemer from last season, that's why many fans in Poland were quite confused about Fonteles, if he's going to show the same, ''great performance'' as his countrymen.
But definitely we don't remember Redwitz or Marcelo...There were good and bad players from Brazil in our league, like from any other country.
About today's match, I don't know why so many people think that Gdańsk should be a really good team, which can fight with Bydgoszcz for 5th place. For me it's a mediocre team with mediocre players, so I think Bydgoszcz is one level above them and all what they can achieve is 6th place, if they can beat Olsztyn and Politechnika (cause Kielce and Częstochowa look very weak this year).

It's confirmed, that he has broken his Achilles tendon. He'll have an operation tomorrow, minimum 6 months of break, but such an injury may even end his career. I have no words how unlucky he and Olsztyn are.

There is said that Penchev will come to Kielce (team's name is now Effector, not Fart) on thursday with opposite Georgiev (?), who gonna be tested for one week. Sth about the second player?

22-year-old OPP Łukasz Szarek is coming back from Greece to Poland. He signed with Indykpol AZS Olsztyn.
Also MB Wojciech Sobala (AZS Częstochowa) and Norwegian setter Jonas Kvalen joined AZS. There are rumours about libero Michał Żurek (Fart Kielce) too.

Finally first official news from club about Metodi:
http://www.indykpolazs.pl/news.php?id=1150
After preliminary tests serious damage in knee were found. He probably needs an operation, it should be sure after next diagnostic tests, which will be taken in next few days. -
http://www.volley24.pl/index.p…iew-Klub-mnie-nie-zostawi
More optimistic news. I think Bulgarian users will be able to say more, 'cuz source is gong.bg. Yesterday test wasn't accurate because of huge oedema and it isn't certain that ligament is broken. And Metodi said that even if it is, treatment will take 3-6 months, so previous news were too pesimistic. Tomorrow Metodi is having a MRI and after that final diagnosis should be known. After that he and ppl from club will decide, where he will be treated. -
There is no info about this and I think it depends on his choice. But there is a great specialist of knee treatment in Olsztyn who cooperates with AZS and many players from various teams was treated here (e.g. Konarski and Wrona from Bydgoszcz in last season), so if he stay, he'll have best care.

http://sport.wm.pl/75528,Metod…agra-do-konca-sezonu.html
Unfortunately, Metodi's injury is very serious. Results of USG said that ligaments and meniscus in his knee are seriously damaged and 8-9 months break is necessary -
Article about Ananiew injury:
http://olsztyn.gazeta.pl/olszt…lgarskiego_siatkarza.htmlWhat is most important, results of ultrasonography will be available tomorrow, but Meto has a big hematoma on his knee and doctors said that 4-6 months break is expected
-
Can you tell me what exactly happened to Metodi?
Don't know exactly, probably broken cruciate ligament, but I'm still waiting for official info from club. Info from one of players.

End of season for Metodi

Any more stats? Links? Photos? Still in t-shirts without sleeves? I want to know more...
Half-our and half-serbian. 'Cause he play in Plusliga. So...Olsztyn. Without at least one set winning. Poor Yudin
Stats:
http://azsuwmolsztyn.com.pl/pl…ykpol%20AZS%20Olsztyn.pdfI think atm Yudin has more important things than friendly match of his club 'cause he's fighting for Asian Championship now And Skra played in the strongest squad and Olsztyn without Igor and injured Ferens too. Siezieniewski after injury is in a really bad shape so we played with 17-year-old Łukasik (who is very similar to Kurek at this age - he is very tall and already quite good at attack despite he's very young, but he can't receive at all ) on the court so our reception was extremely bad! So i think it isn't as bad score as it looks
About Ananiev, of course I hope he will be a new star of PlusLiga

AZS Olsztyn
Opp: Igor Yudin (AUS), Wojciech Winnikalso Bartosz Krzysiek
And I can't agree that Olsztyn is too weak for Igor. Almost every team in PlusLiga has a great opposite (only AZS PW has Szymański ), so AZS needed such too. Of course last season was really horrible for AZS, but everyone here expects, that this will be much more better, there is a great coach in Olsztyn and Yudin is still pretty young and talented, so he can still improve a lot with Totolo, so I believe it's a good choice for him to play here

Danish NT setter Axel Jacobsen is a new player of AZS Olsztyn.

34 points - Marcel Gromadowski - Poland - 2010/2011 Polish PlusLiga - AZS Olsztyn - Delecta Bydgoszcz
