    Hello!


    I'm trying to make a promotional video for the Slovenina national team, and I was wondering if any of you know where I could download the matches of the Slovenina national team, preferably from the last 2 years.

  • European Championships 2011

    Hmm... I'm actually a bit dissapointed with the choice for our(Slovenian) NT...
    I think that the young setter Ropret would deserve to be in the team instead of Satler, considering he has been with the team the whole preparations, Satler only joined them a few weeks ago + Satler hasn't played in 2 years!!!!


    And I would like to Klemen Čebulj(18years, OH, ACH Volley) in the team, considering he did an amazing job in the EL matches where he played, I think he's better than Planinc...

  • How did YOU play?

    Mostly teams from the Balkan play in this tournament(Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and some exceptions like Austria, Italy), but the list for this years edition isn't official yet.

    The coach gave a month off now, to fully rehabilitate the ankle, so I won't play until the end of the month, and then we are going to Zagreb(Croatia) for an international tournament(Trofej Zagreba - 27. - 29.5) to finnish off this great season! :)

    MOK Krka Novo mesto -> Slovenian Youth Vice Champions!!!! :)
    In the first semifinal KEKOOprema Žužemberk won the home team of SIP Šempeter quite easily to advance to the final... 2:0(25:23;25:12)
    Next semifinal match was ours, against OK Maribor:
    In a thriller of a match, after loosing the first set 28:26, we managed to get back and won the 2d set and the tie break to advance to the final! And with that our goal of winning a medal was achieved!

    And then came the grand final. Two biggest rivals, who already played 2 matches this season, each team won one, it all came down to this...
    Althouth our goal was already achieved, and that KEKOOprema Žužemberk was definetly the final, we always wanted to win, and we always played like wa wanted to win, fighting like lions and leaving our hearts on the court! But in the end, the opposing team was just better, and all we could do was congratulate them on a well deserved victory!

    After the match I received a lot of congratulations, because I played both matches, even though my ankle is still injured, some people even called me crazy... But even though I felt a lot of pain during both matches, and today I can barely walk, I never wanted to stop playing, I never wanted to go on the bench because of the pain, I fought with all my heart not for mysellf, but for the team, because they counted on me the whole season and there was no way I could let them down now, and considering I played injured I did phenomenal, even the coach of KEKOOprema Žužemberk said he didn't expect me to play at all, let a lone play so good, and I gave 110% which really made me feel good, but best moment of the day was getting the silver medal around my neck, and celebrating it with the best teammates and coach in the world! And nothing can take that away, because it's just the best moment in the world!

    Some info about me again... :D
    I've started training this week, with the help of kinesio tape and a compression sock, the final4 is exactly a month away, and the physiotherapyst said, that my chances for beaing able to play, are 60-40 :)

    Hey, its me again! :)
    I removed the plaster on monday, but the ankle is still swollen a lot, so I can't train until it goes away. Im doing quite a lot of stuff to get rid of it (Ice massage, shock terapy, Electrostimulation etc.), but nothing seems to work. So now I just hope I will be able to start training in about 2-3 weeks :)

    Not the best weekend for me to be honest...
    In the first match against Calcit Volleyball we were leading 1:0 and 14:11, when I got injured. I was blocking the opposing attacker, who lander on our side, and I stepped on his foot, and was unable to play further...
    We ended up loosing the match 2:1, lost against Marchiol Vodi Prvačina 2:1 as well, but we still managed to qualify for the Final4 as the 2d team in the group.
    Today I went to a kiropractican, but he told me that he isnt too confident its only a sprain, so he didn't do any work on my ankle, and sent me to the doctor to do an x-ray, which reveiled that my ankle is broken... So now I need to have a plaster for 3 weeks, then 1 week of Physiotherapy, and then I can start training slowly, with a special program, I will be able to train with the team in about 5-6 weeks, and the Final4 will be on the 8.5.2011, so I hope I will be able to get back in form, as for the senior season, its bassicly over for me, I will only be able to play in the last 2 rounds...

    Correct! :) But ofcourse we wont be happy with one won set on sunday, we will definetly try to win both matches, so we can finnish 1st in our group so then we will play the 2d ranked team from the other group in the semi-final, although we've been told the other group isnt that good, but sometimes being the "favourite" is only a dissatvantage...

    Well the system is like this:
    The "A" league is divided into two groups (West, East), and each consists out of 6 teams. The top 2 teams of each group then qualify for the Final4, and the semifinals are played like this: 1-2; 2-1.

    Yesterday we won both our matches 2:0, in the 2d set against Salonit Anhovo we we're 17-9 behind, and then i scored 8 aces on serve, to tie at 18-18, in the end we won the set 25-23, and the match 2:0. So with 2 matches to go, we are 1st in our group with 7 wins and 1 loss, and we only need one more set to be sure to advance to the final4 of the national youth championships. We will play our last 2 matches this sunday, against Calcit Volleyball Kamnik, and Marchiol Vodi Prvačina! :)

  • How did YOU play?

    I'm actually surprised I'm in such shape, because i have problems with my health, I was ill last week, so I only trained on thursday, but played fenomenal on Sunday, I'm ill again this week, but i probably won't train at all, so I hope that won't effect my game on sunday... :/
    Well I'm the 2d captain of the team, and the team and the coach trust me a lot so its good for my confidence, and I think one of the reasons I play soo good in the last time is that I'm really confident, and that I'm not nervous and I enjoy myself while playing, it really helps :)
    Yes I play for a senior team in the 3d Slovene league as well, I play as the 1st receiver in the team, so I think thats good as well, to play with better players on a higher level, you can really learn a lot, the only problem is that the senior matches are on saturday nights(I ussualy play the whole match...), and then the Youth matches are on sunday mornings, so I'm really tired already, thank god the youth A league ends in 3 weeks, and then the Final4(hope we quallify) is on the 8th may. :)

    Had the 2d round of the A youth league on sunday, we played against ŠD Brezovica and one of the favourites for the title Marchiol Vodi Prvačina.
    In the first match against ŠD Brezovica the coach left me and the opposite on the bench, because he wanted to gives us a rest, because the opposition just wasn't on our level, we won comfortly 2:0 (25:18; 25:16).
    Second match against Marchiol Vodi Prvačina was the real deal, after loosing the first set 17-10, we started to serve on full power, and made a huge comeback, winning that set 25:22!! :) In the second set we moved up a gear and never gave the opposition any chance to win, playing good in attack and defense, winning the set 25:17.
    I played really well again in this game, I must say I'm probably in the form of my life, my reception was outstanding again(88%), scored 15points in attack(79%), served really well, didn't score any aces but most of their receptions of my servis we're outside the 3m line, so they had to play really slow... And i digged some tough balls in defense as welll :)
    Anyways for now we are the only unbeaten team in the A league, with 3 rounds(6 matches to go)! :)

    Th next round is going to be verry important for us, as we will face KEKOOprema Žužemberk again, and Salonit Anhovo, if we will win both matches, we will almost surely be quallified for this years final4! :)
