Come on!
If you claim to be mature enough, you should also know how provoking you were.
You with your occasional capital lettered words, putting words into peoples mouths, demanding single word answers are not after a good discussion but a heated argument. Most people here said they disliked the golden set rule, not hate it. Hate is a very strong word and should be used carefully. This dislike didn't result from Kazan winning the match-up.
Most people here predicted that outcome and were indeed wanting Kazan to win.I personally understand the need to change the previous set average rule, but also am not the biggest fan for this golden set rule.
When CEV decided to implement the golden set rule their strongest argument for that change was that with set average rule teams had to play some sets even though one team guaranteed to advance to the upcoming stage and in those sets teams didn't show any enthusiasm.
Kazan game was a great counter- example for that argument, hence people who are not for this rule understandably wanted to underline this fact.Since you are here to hear some heated arguments, I thought I indulge you for this rare occasion. Since when a set won single-handedly by one player is considered high level?
Get real, OMG.So you refuse to recognize that Gamova was great in the Golden Set. That is all I need. And I think most people on this topic would not agree with you.
Again PERSONAL attacks. Farther conversation does not make sense until you learn more how to behave. I've already made my point and I rest my case. And you can keep lol.
-
you don't get the point. Everyone thinks Kazan could play whole match like they played in the golden set but they didn't. People know real Dinamo Kazan was the one playing in the golden set. They didn't fight during the match. They kept their energy for the golden set. It was a pity for volleyball fans for sure. What's wrong with that?
If anybody did not get the point, it is you. What I'm saying is some people ONLY said that Kazan did not play well in the first 3 sets and FORGOT to mention how they played great in the Golden Set. Then they made conclusion that the Golden Set rule is a bad rule. It is funny that the same very people said that Gamova was jealous to some other players. I do not agree with these two statements.
If you read my previous posts you can see that I said that Kazan as a team with one player would not stand chanced in the Final Four. Anyway, still waiting for my answer: YES or NO. Without any but
-
how old are you? 12?
Noone says Kazan didn't deserve to qualify... The problem is they didn't play 3 sets just to show their real power in golden set. And this is ethically not really a good thing but it's sports.
It is not about who deserve to qualify or who does not. It is not for us to decide. The problem is some people complaining how Kazan lost 3 sets and saying they were playing badly. Then forget to appreciate their great performance in the Golden Set. That is unfair.
Oh, I'm mature enough. And getting personal, like you DID is not a sigh of maturity. Some people who are in there 20's, 30's or even 40's and still behave childish.

I don't hate or love the golden set. The rules are what they are.
I like watching high level volleyball. I think the level is affected by the rules, but not entirely determined by it. It's determined by the teams and how they choose to play.
Cortese kept fighting to push the match to a 5th set even when they were down 2-1. Watching the match, I got the feeling Cortese wanted to win and not have to go to a golden set (which they won anyway).
If Kazan had kept playing instead of tanking the 3rd set vs Azerrail, maybe their match would have been more enjoyable to watch.
So to me, it's not about the golden set. The tiebreaker can be a coin toss and I still wouldn't like the low level volleyball that I saw from Kazan.
I don't blame Kazan for playing the rules. The rules are what they are. But I also don't enjoy watching low level volleyball, so when that happens I don't expect others to like the circumstances (i.e. the golden set) that made that possible either.
With all the love for high lever and enjoyable volleyball you have to agree that Kazan's and Gamova's volleyball in the Golden Set was high level and enjoyable. Do you agree? Yet there was only complains. Seems like DOUBLE STANDARD to me.
One more time, DO YOU AGREE that Kazan and Gamova were great in the Golden Set? Just answer YES or NO. No need for 200 words reply.
-
Hmmm. When Kazan and Azzerail played Golden Set some people hated Golden Set rule...
Now, Villa and Foppa played Golden Set, the very same people were screaming in ecstasy: "What a great game."
Looks like DOUBLE STANDARD.
So questions to those who hated the Golden Set rule before: "Do you like or hate the Golden Set rule?"
Oh, respect to those people who stand up to those sore losers and defended the Golden Set rule. Those are the true volleyball FANS.
Now, my guess, Nostradamus is smiling.

Congarulations to Kazan and Russian fans! Today we watched two Russian-Azeri duellos in the same hall one was lost and in another match BAKI defeated Omichka in 3 sets and then won Golden set!
Azerrail really played amazingly and deserved the victory but in the Golden set queen Gamova saved her team and their players showed high level experience! I am very disappointed but I hope Azerrail will make one or two good transfers for the next season... Just because of one position they lost the name - GREAT TEAM for this season!!
And Baku will probably host the Final Four without Azeri teams even though we all hope Rabita to show good match tomorrow-but realism says-no Azeri teams in Baku final Four!
And The final Four will take place in Haydar Aliyev Sports Palace ( more than 8000 spectators ) of course if organizational committee doesn`t change the hall to small one because of non participation of Azeri teams...
INSHALLAH next year it will take place with two Azeri teams in new Crystal Hall which will be ready this April and the capacity is 25 000 people! The hall for this year`s Final Four is this:
Nice hall.
Azeri teams did great this year. I'm sure Azeri Superleague will be even better next year. Congrats.

Nostradamus 2012 is predicting new war inside the topic.
Ha-ha-ha. Nostradamus got this wrong - no war. Baki saved the Golden Set rule. And I've said what I wanted. So it is time to go to bed.
Peace out, everybody.
-
I say- Golden Set is good idea- the same will say Kazan's Fans. Azerrail's Fans will say no good idea.
Some Azeri fans think that the volleyball net on the other side is lower, some looser complain the rules are not right. None of those matters. The ball is round, the court is the same size on both side, the net is the same height. Oh, and complaining after loosing is bad sportsmanship. Somebody just do not get it.
-
of course not everyone of us are just volleyball fans. cos we are a sport club. we have 9 main branches and fighting for the title always. so this is sometimes causing problems at volleyball halls.
but we are getting better and better year by year, people know volleyball and its rules much better now. especialy at the matches in our home, there is nothing bad at all but some away games (like dresden game) we have seen somethings about out of volleyballI have nothing against 1 League in Turkey and Azeri's Superleague. There are some great teams playing there and all girls are great and pretty. Without these two leagues all CEV tournaments would loose a lot. Actually, it is remarkably how the Turkish teams rose to the very top. And I can see the Azeri teams have all chances to march the same route.
What piss me off are some comments and behavior of some fans.

Two days ago Kazan's first lineup lost tough 5 sets battle to Proton in Russian League. Kazan just did not wanted to play another 5 sets game in Baku. So after giving up first two sets Kazan stopped playing in the third set. The plan worked like charm.
Anyway, I think that is how far Kazan go in CL. A team with just one player (Gamova) would not stand any chances against any of Italian team. Good run for Kazan.
I'm assuming that Fenerbahce would demolish Rabita in 3 sets tomorrow (or maybe 4 sets, whatever). It is strange to see the final four in Baku without a single Baku team. My guess the fans from Turkey would be very noisy in Baku. Hope their "soccer fans" would not show up.
