I checked it again, it refers to the obligations for the 13/14 license and explicitly says that "DVL will not grant another special permission for 2014/15" and that Suhl needs to present a hall that fulfills DVL standards in the license application for 14/15 to be handed in on 01 April 2014. For me that sounds very clear...even though as you say it's not by Jung himself, but the woman who wrote it seems to be responsible for this kind of stuff...

Viola Knospe is "Leiterin Spielbetrieb und Buchhaltung"

Thank you!!! Don't like your example of Schwerin winning over Aachen :box: I willl be in Aachen tomorrow :D :D :dance4:

You´re welcome! Haha, i didn´t think about any specific teams when i made this example. Just something like "Team A 1 - Team B 8" and so on...
On the other hand, i have to admit, i like the idea of Aachen winning against Schwerin ;-)

It depends on the ranking after regular season.

    Example
(bold and underlined team are the winners in this example, numbers are the rankings after regular seaon)

    Team 1 - Team 8
    Team 2 - Team 7
    Team 3 - Team 6
    Team 4 - Team 5

So, for semifinals the ranking would be:

    Team 1 - 1st
    Team 3 - 2nd
    Team 5 - 3rd
    Team 7 - 4th
The best ranked winning team is 1st in semifinal, the lowest ranked winning team would be 4th.

The Executive Board of the German Volleyball League (DVL) has withdrawn the license of RWE Volleys Bottrop with immediate effect.
The club has repeatedly failed to meet requirements of the economic licensing process. All matches of Bottrop will be deleted.

Yes, I just read about what happened after the match and it's unbelievable! Dresden has played a very good season so far and now because of one bad match which unfortunately happened to be the most important one of the season so far, their so-called fans boo at Mareen Apitz and say that the team mascot should have been awarded MVP, and of course it's all the fault of the coach :aww: I'm not a fan of Alex Waibl, but I can totally understand his reaction towards the crowd (the article says "a clear hand gesture") when they booed at Apitz during the MVP awarding, because no player deserves that:

I was in Dresden yesterday and the reaction of some "fans" (not their fanclub i might add) after the match toward the players was unbelievable. Don´t remember if it was Apitz but after the receiving of the MVP medals one fan shouted at a player on the way back to the locker room and the player shouted back. She was really upset and in a complete turmoil.
I really felt sorry for her and the team, because they do NOT deserve this reaction.

Congratulations to the VolleyStars. Looking forward to the final in Halle.

New drawing of lots for the DVV Cup seminals:

Dresdner SC - Rote Raben Vilsbiburg
    VolleyStars Thüringen - Schweriner SC

The drawing was conducted in front of/by a notary. According to the notary, he convinced himself about the proper status of the balls. He made sure the names of the clubs were written right, closed the balls, put it in an envelope and sealed it.
He then openend the envelope, dropped the balls into the bowl, where once again a ball opened! :wall:

You're right in the first part: The first broken ball was repaired before the DOL (maybe too good, because they had problems opening one of the balls of the first lot ;) ...)

Then the bowl was mixed for the second draw and again one ball opened in the bowl, but was drawn anyways.

I have to say i did not see, that one ball opened in the bowl. I was probably laughing too hard, because of the problems they had opening the other ball...

Thanks for the info, I didn't watch it myself so I just reported what I read on FB.

However, VfB Suhl aka Thüringen officially protested against the DOL of quarterfinals (which was made behind closed doors) and the decision of DVV court is still pending...I don't think anything will change though...

In my opinion Suhl had every right to protest against the DOL of quarterfinals. The DOL MUST be made official!
Today the DOL in Vilsbiburg was filmed by a local tv station and i hope they´ll upload this video on their website.

MVP Vilsbiburg - Aachen: Jenna Hagglund / Tatiana Crkonova

DOL for Cup semifinals (14 December):
Rote Raben Vilsbiburg - Schweriner SC
    Dresdner SC - VolleyStars Thüringen

EDIT: According to some FB comments, the DOL was (again) very suspicious  One of the balls containing the club name was already lying open in the bowl...fans who watched it are very angry and I can understand it, after the QF DOL was made behind closed doors now there are controversies again :wall:

The ball lying open in the bowl has been taken out BEFORE the DOL and was replaced by a sealed one. The open ball had therefore nothing to do with the DOL whatsoever.

Nikola Radosova came back during the match on crutches and was sitting behind Potsdam´s bench. At first, the look on her face said, that it hurts, but when she sat down she was smiling and had fun with some kids behind her in the stands.
