    Not necessarily. Every action a player does is counted in the stats program, but not all of them show in the PDF. For example sets and digs aren't shown in the PDF but still registered. When you follow the live stats on VBL Ticker, you will see that in the beginning of the match there are not 6 or 7 players listed per team but one after another appears as the match proceeds as soon as she has an action. For example after the first rally maybe one team has only the server listed in their roster and the other team the receiver, setter and attacker if those were the only actions in that rally. That's why for example a blocking substitute can enter a match but not show in the stats sheet if she didn't have any ball touch/attempt.

    The new stats sheet only shows players who entered the court, players who were only on bench (or on court but without any actions) aren't represented there. Wiesbaden had everyone available today.

    That block by Zhu for 24-19 was Volleyball IQ 999 :obey: She was so inside the attacker's head, knowing exactly what she was going to try and humiliating her by simply not jumping at the normal time but wait and throw the tip right back :super:


    Also I think Italian referees are doing a decent job at calling thrown attacks (like the set point) but not making random calls that nobody understands. And apparently throwing is still legal when it counts as a block.

    Since Schwerin found a player in Puerto Rico and there are rumors that their league will be cancelled, maybe Dresden can also find someone from there or an American who would have played there? I don't expect any top transfer from them at this point of the season.

    I think sometimes scouts assign actions to a player from the wrong team but with the same shirt number, so whatever was assigned to Lobzhanidze in fact was an action by Fricova. Maybe since Flacht this season doesn't have any #15 the software automatically added last year's #15 to their team? I have no idea how this Science Untangled thing works, in DataVolley it would have said "Unknown Player 15" in the same scenario. I do miss DataVolley actually ;(

    So the gap between the "old" and "new" teams is at least as big as last season :down: Stuttgart and even Erfurt could afford to let everybody play and still win comfortably. I expect Vilsbiburg to achieve some better results throughout the season but it looks like Suhl is very strong again.


    Flacht announced that their 3rd MB Annika Dilzer got injured and will be out "for some time", so they have no backup at MB (don't get fooled by the stats sheet claiming Lizzy Lobzhanidze played for them today, it's a mistake again :aww:).

    In the updated stats file it's corrected. Those actions were actually by Roos Wessels who in Wiesbaden has the same shirt number as Fuchs in Münster. This mistake happens quite often by scouts...

    Reesink's stats look decent but it looks like Aachen couldn't kill any attack. Freiynfeldova winning MVP as substitute with 3/5 in attack looks justified when everybody else is under 30%, crowned by Darowski's 1/19 :gone:
