(apparently this is from a Polish site, that's why the spelling of the names is a bit strange).

So Andrushko is in Russian team now...She's not a native Russian, she's naturalized from Ukraine or Belarus as far as I know. I'm not sure if Godina will be there, she had surgery on both knees just 2 or 3 months ago and just made her comeback in Russian Cup final last week.

I watched Cannes in Topvolley and they made a really bad impression. Elif is not a really good setter, both OHs make too many mistakes, Centoni is far from her former self, Filipova is too slow for a MB and Fomina is getting old. So actually Ravva is the only good player they have. Eczaci has a good TEAM with a good setter, 3 good attackers (Haneef included, but also the young Turkish hitters Selime and Neriman are good), 3 good MBs and a good libero. So in my opinion Eczaci is much stronger than Cannes at the moment.

Well she does not receive but she is not opposite. This is Karpol's system, the opposite is the main receiver but does not have big attacking responsibilites (Plotnikova currently), both OHs are the main attackers but only one of them receives (Artamonova receives and attacks, Pasynkova only attacks).

Plotnikova plays receiving OPP, Artamonova plays receiving OH, Pasynkova plays non-receiving OH (like Gamova), Beloborodova and Duskraydchenko play MB, I think Duskryadchenko receives in one rotation too.

Do you know if she is there "legally", I mean with permission of Cuban federation? Or did she defect? Romania is not exactly the first place to think of if you want to go to Europe I think ;)

Guidetti has invited the following 16 players to NT training camp:

Kathleen Weiß, Linda Dörendahl, Cathrin Schlüter (alle Schweriner SC), Mareen Apitz, Heike Beier, Corina Ssuschke (alle Dresdner SC), Maren Brinker (TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Dominice Steffen (NA.Hamburg), Tanja Hart (1. VC Wiesbaden), Kathy Radzuweit (Imola/ITA), Angelina Grün (Bergamo/ITA), Christiane Fürst (Pesaro/ITA), Hanka Pachale (Perugia/ITA), Cornelia Dumler (Ostiano/ITA), Margareta Kozuch (Sassulo/ITA), Atika Bouagaa (Istanbul/TUR)

If Kerstin Tzscherlich's recovery after her knee surgery works out perfect she might be in Halle but it's very unlikely. Thumm is not yet in a good enough shape to play in NT again. The only real libero in the roster is Dörendahl but it is possible that one of the OHs plays as libero (Beier or Bouagaa possibly).

I am curious to see which of Croatia's and Romania's "stars" will eventually be there.

For Russia I think Sheshenina looked very well in the Uralochka match posted here, but Artamonova....she is nowhere near her former self. I mean she still is a very good player but she has only about 50% of her former power. She would definitely be a help for their reception though.
