Mia Kirchhoff wasn't in Aachen yesterday. Does anyone know if she's injured or just sick?
Schwerin's match report says she was absent due to illness.

Erfurt with a last minute transfer for today's match: after Lydia Stemmler's injury, they signed USA OH Alianza Darley (though according to Volleybox she played as MB last season).
Which makes me wonder where Michelle Bachmann will end up. Most other Potsdam players have found new clubs, even if they're in lower divisions ![]()
Dresden - Wiesbaden 3:0 stats
MVP: Marta Levinska / Rene Sain
Display MoreSorry if this is sort of offtopic but i saw some debate on twitter/x about how to pronounce Straube's surname
is it
Strawbe - like Strawberry or Shtro-buh ? do you pronounce the E because right like you wouldn't pronounce the E in Porsche and it sounds like Uh... am I making sense
So how do you correctly pronounce her surname?
It's SHTRAU-be. The "au" is pronounced like "ow" in how. The e in the end is indeed the same as in Porsche, your description does make sense ![]()
She had surgery for torn ligaments in her right knee and is still in rehabilitation for that
But she played today and also last match ![]()
Wiesbaden - Borken 3:0 stats
MVP: Jimena Fernandez Gayoso / Hannah Rudde
Suhl - Dresden 2:3 stats
MVP: Sanaa Dotson / Mette Pfeffer (7 blocks, 3 of them in tie-break
)
Schwerin - Hamburg 3:0 stats
MVP: Leana Grozer / Jana-Marie Meiser
Stuttgart - Aachen 3:0 stats
MVP: Lucia Varela / Karmena Struka
Mette Pfeffer certainly is the revelation of the year. Last season she was still playing in 2nd league with Dresden's youth team and only practised with the main team, then she was surprisingly good in Universiade with U23 NT and now she performs great in Bundesliga. Her blocking is amazing, high above the net and reaching over far. If she can improve in the other elements she might be able to challenge Monique Strubbe as 4th MB in NT next summer.
For Suhl, Dotson was really good, very dynamic and powerful in attack, but also Emma Sambale's performance was a pleasant surprise. In the beginning they played with two liberos, Sambale as receiver and Lai as defender, but Lai wasn't impressive at all so from 3rd set on Sambale played as only libero. Most of the time her reception was solid and she had some amazing digs as well. Brancuska had a very rough first set and some ups and downs later as well, but she certainly showed her potential too.
Suhl vs Dresden stream (probably geoblocked). TV broadcast starts later due to darts ![]()
There were several confusions during scouting. During live scouting, the scout also added a break point to the serving players if the opposing team didn't score a point by this serve, even if it wasn't an ace. As a result, Emilia Jordan has eight break points in live scouting, even though she only scored two points.
So just wait until tomorrow for the scout report; then a Schwerin scout should have rescouted the match, and we'll have a proper scout report.

Flacht - Münster 0:3 stats
MVP: Frauke Neuhaus / Brianna Ford
Any set won by the newly promoted teams against the established teams, even Erfurt, is going to be a sensation probably ![]()
As expected, Lydia Stemmler's knee injury is serious and she'll miss the rest of the season
This means Erfurt has no reserve at OH/OPP because Sina Siebert is still ill according to the press release. I suppose they'll try to sign Michelle Bachmann or Anija Jurdza from Potsdam now, it would be the most logical solution.
I rewatched it and according to the commentator, it was a tactical stunt. She left the field completely normally.
Good to hear but then I wonder what kind of tactics that would be ![]()
Münster substituted Diane Seybering at 1:1 in 1st set so I guess she got injured
I hope it's nothing too serious, looks like she fought hard for a place in starting six in the last weeks.
Aachen - Wiesbaden 3:2 stats
MVP: Celine Jebens / Rene Sain
Erfurt - Flacht 3:0 stats
MVP: Emilie Respaut (7 aces) / Frauke Neuhaus
Hamburg - Stuttgart 0:3 stats
MVP: Anna Hartig / Toni Stautz
Erfurt's Lydia Stemmler suffered a knee injury and MDR's article says it's probably serious, so this means trouble for them. Sina Siebert is also still recovering from injury so they're down to two OHs now. I guess they'll try to sign somebody who was supposed to play in Potsdam now ![]()
It's the first match of the season and it has been only one set, but so far the level of Aachen-Wiesbaden has been horrendous ![]()

Jovana Dordevic from Potsdam is registered for Wiesbaden's 2nd team on VBL site now but she's on a team photo of their 1st team so I guess she might be promoted during the season if she performs well.
Wiesbaden now officially announced her. As expected, she'll be part of the "extended roster" of the Bundesliga team and practise mostly with them, but will also play for the 2nd team.
VfB Suhl Lotto Thüringen has announced today the termination of the contract with Leandra Rixa Negri.
I wonder if she'll play somewhere else or if she quits
The press release doesn't sound like there's any bad blood, plus she hasn't been with the team in their preparation camp in Cyprus, plus them signing Alina Nasin makes more sense now. I think Negri leaving might have been known for quite a while.
