Well it's on CEV site and they updated all rosters of teams participating in OQT in the last 2-3 days, so I think it must be official. Maybe during winter there was a big Terzic-and-players-love-each-other-again-event or so :D

This list probably was created one year ago or maybe even earlier...it is useless (for example: on Dutch list is Ingrid Visser, though she already retired :teach: )

Unfortunately I don't think so. The teams which participated in pre-qualifiers (like NED) already had rosters on CEV site, so those might be old, but until some days ago Turkey, Germany and Serbia didn't have rosters on CEV site and now they do (except Serbia). I also remember reading that the deadline for registering 24 players for Ankara tournament was some time around 20th March, so unfortunately I think the rosters which are now on CEV site are mostly correct except those who are still from pre-qualifiers, but for example also Croatia seems to have a new roster because there are some players in it who definitely weren't there last year...

EDIT: Now there is also SRB roster on CEV site and it has some surprises like Djerisilo, Spasojevic and Starovic :white:

Matthias, Souza Ziegler is an OH, right?

So probably one of the current OHs (Topic, Retzlaff, Buijs) would leave Schwerin?

    Are there rumors about that?

Yes she is OH and I also think probably someone else is likely to leave, but there are no details about that yet. I think we won't get any details before the season is over, the rumor about Souza Ziegler returning to Schwerin was written some time ago in a newspaper from Hamburg.

No Stefanie Karg :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

In this case I think it MUST be her own decision because no coach in his right mind could ignore/forget her...

I just realised that also Patricia Grohmann isn't in the roster...she had some problems with injuries this season and didn't play so well but I don't know, she should be there I think...

Either way the final roster probably will be:
    Weiss, Apitz/Hanke
    Kozuch, Hippe
    Grün, Brinker, Beier, Matthes/Burchardt
    Ssuschke, Fürst, Kauffeldt/Schaus
    Tzscherlich
if 14 players are allowed (in OG are only 12, don't know about qualification tournament) the other two would probably be Dürr and Thomsen.

    Some transfer news and rumors:

According to a newspaper from Sinsheim, Vilsbiburg signed ex-Junior NT MB Celin Stöhr from VCO Berlin.

Lousiane Souza Ziegler (Hamburg) and Luise Mauersberger are likely to play in Schwerin next season. Souza Ziegler already played there in 2009 and her husband is from Schwerin; Mauersberger had an intensive talk with Schwerin's coach Teun Buijs after Sinsheim-Schwerin match recently.

VC Wiesbaden wants to keep both setters Viestova and Kaiser and several other players from the current roster.

Ramona Stucki (Potsdam) finished her career.

I just wanted to post the roster too but Raven was faster ;)

In general there are no (positive) surprises except Mauersberger. She played a great season for Sinsheim and she is a good option for Opp position as left-handed spiker. We only have Kozuch and Hippe there and Hippe has been a major disappointment in the last years. There are rumors that Mauersberger will play in Schwerin next season, Teun Buijs talked to her a long time after Sinsheim-Schwerin match recently.
Friederike Thieme hasn't played in the last 3 months due to a stress fracture in the foot so I have no idea why she is on the roster. Claudia Steger is a good server and receiver/defender but her attack is nowhere near international level. I think Sandra Sell should have been in the roster as OH, she was one of the main reasons for Köpenick's success this season and she is also just 23 years old. For MB I don't get why Radzuweit is there again every year. I think she hasn't even played one full set for Rabita the whole season  Imke Wedekind and Franziska Bremer played a great season for their clubs and got awarded MVP many times, for me they deserve NT much more than Radzuweit. For libero I would have liked to see Münster's libero Linda Dörendahl, I think she is better than Lisa Thomsen. I hope Guidetti will call some of these players in case we don't qualify for OG (which I don't hope of course)...

She looks very strong indeed ! I wonder why not more players especially in womens game gain some weight in muscles, I mean look at Goncharova and Kosheleva, compare with Strashi, Fernanda Garay, Wang Yimei or Costagrande. Very different body types. I know too much would be horrible because then they cant jump, but I mean, only a bit more than know maybe not hurt, or what do u think ?

For Volleyball it is not important to have big muscles (=look like bodybuilder) but to have good speed strength. For example take Yumilka Ruiz, she was extremely thin and didn't appear to have lots of muscles but still she jumped extremely high and also hit very hard. Having big amounts of muscles works against speed actually. I remember Stelian Moculescu (German male NT ex-coach and coach of Friedrichshafen) once forbade Georg Grozer to do weightlifting because he had too big muscles, he said he needs a Volleyball player and not a bodybuilder.

Who is She :?: Curious that She never had chance to be in POL NT.

Her maiden name was Ilona Farkowska. She is 32 years old, 1.79 tall and she plays in Köpenick since 2004, before that she was in some other German clubs and in Poland she played in Czestochowa but I don't know exactly when. Her husband is team manager of Köpenick. She is a very experienced and solid player but she never was on the level to play NT.
