Manabe was very brave in taking a chance on Sarina Koga, I think she goes to compose the group. At the site of the Japanese volleyball federation is announcing Hiroko Matsuura and not Makoto Matsuura,I looked at a Japanese site where it said it was Makoto, I'm confused too, but I think it is Hiroko and Fujita. :win:

i really like what manabe is doing now,he's really giving these new and younger players the experience they need since they will be the one who will replace the big names in jthe apanese team...i love to watch sarina koga to play i think she is really good, whith her age manabe must have seen something in her thats why shes in the roster for montreux....so isaori kimura not playing in the montreux cup? :drink:

I am apprehensive of the future. I like so much Japan NT. I don't know... Takeshita is so important... I wonder if Japan NT remains competitive after her retirement. She is so smart, conscious, a master of the set-and-volleyball game. I love her technique. They can change OH, OPP, MB, but setter ;( ... is difficult find other like her. Let's see!

Yes..Takeshita has been very important to the team, but she is retired now. They can't rely on her forever...now is the time for these new setters to step up and prove they deserve to be in the NT...can't wait to see how they play now since takeshita is not their main setter anymore...lets hope for the best for the Japanese NT. :drink:

Setter: rather nothing new, however M. Matsuura and Miyashita didn't have chances to be in match 12 (H. Matsuura got this chance). I don't see much chances for Fujita, although she was starter in Toyota. Tashiro was substitute in Toray and last one is player for further future.
Middle Blocker: Except Araki, Hirai and Iwasaka there are many good players, we have wide and hard choice: Otake, N. Inoue, Kawashima, Shimamura, Moriya, Futami, Ono, Seki. From these 3 I prefer most Otake and Shimamura, later Futami, Inoue, Ono and Moriya, other 2 from Okayama I prefer the least.
Wing Spiker: Last one from bold players Miyu Nagaoka deserves to be in match 12 - she was MVP in V.League. Moreover, Kurihara, Kano and Yamaguchi released places, so there is one for her. Good season had Akari Oumi, Yuki Ishii also Yurie Nabeya isn't without chances.
Libero: From libero I don't have idea: any of these 4 should be good, I prefer Yoshida or Torigoe. I'm still surprised why Manabe resigned from Hamaguchi, who should be next to Zayasu in bold.

So: Miyashita, M. Matsuura, Otake, Shimamura, Futami/Inoue/Ono, Nagaoka, Oumi, Y. Ishii, Nabeya, Yoshida, Torigoe seem to be nice options. Maybe someone else can add more :win:

thanks... I was wondering why mari horikawa wasnt called .. Is she not playing good... She was playing very well in the juniors team... :drink:

Can u give me any idea if whom of these new players are really playing very well?...and have more chances to be in the WGP roster :drink:

Sorry i know is off topic !
She has played very little, much still needs to evolve. ;)

what im really wondering about right now is who will be the first option for the setter since yoshie takeshita already retired, will it be hitomi nakamichi?,but im hoping a bit taller one would be also better.. :drink: :

Point taken, however this height debate is an annual one, and as a good example, many had feared a few years ago, that Saori Sakoda, at 1.75M, would not be an effective spiker for Japan. Happily, she proved all the doubters wrong, and this season, with Stephanie Enright returning to Puerto Rico, following her knee injury, has been outstanding, leading the meagre Toray Arrows attack. An exception to the rule, maybe, but nevertheless, her achievements, should act as encouragement for players in the 1.70M-1.77M height range, in attaining International status, especially versatile players, such as Akari Oumi. She is equally competent, both in defence and attack. She most certainly deserves her chance at Montreux, and the other European challenges, prior to the WGP.

what about mari horikawa?i think shes around 180 cm,?since some of the current japan womens nt are about to retire later on..would be nice to see some new good players... :drink: :drink:

who is going to replce takeshita now?...will it be hitomi nakamichi?...i really like to see new younger players to join the japan senior NT... :drink:

congratulations to the RUSSIAN FEDERATION....2 sets down yet they still manage to get the other 2 sets and totally destroyed brazilians defence...i think this is the best match ive seen so far....very well deserved win for RUSSIA....brazil can't win all....this is the revenge of the russian mens to brazil after russian womens were defeated by brazil.....musersky for mvp....he is the key for the winning against brazil..... :drink: :super: :obey:  :dance6: :cup:

even if japan lost still they going to play for the bronze medal match vs korea....some teams that are expected to be in the semi finals didnt manage to be in the semis...hopefully usa will win against brazil and japan will win against korea....ganbare nippon... :drink:

    :drink: :super:

Why Thailand's curse didnt't take Japan out of OG? ;( There was no Serbia fault. They wanted to win this match for themselves. Japan want to loose. So I strongly believe and pray to god now and want Japan go home without medal. It will be hurt much more than go home afer QF. Probably Thailand want it that way :D
    Let's go Brazil, USA, Korea!!!

    move on :teach:
