    Soraia already left team

    do you know why??

Soraia was not fired, she asked to be released last week. She was disappointed by the club (no surprise… Lodz…) and the bad coaching. She wanted to work hard and be good in the Polish league, but under the given conditions she could not perform and was just frustrated.
If it is fair that a dissatisfied player just leaves the team is another topic (a bit of egoism). Maybe delayed salaries have been an issue, too?

Venezuelan, Luz Maguy Delfines Melendez won't play in Budowlani Łódź due to mediocre performance. Club is looking for new foreign strong spiking OH.
Noris Leydis Cabrera is close to sign with Atom Trefl Sopot. Club may have problems associated with unpaid salaries from last year, dissatisfied is Dorota Świeniewicz, also American players are thinking about applying to FIVB in order to block foreign Atom's transfers, club may also lose licence needed to play in Orlenliga.

Apparently, Budowlani Łódź has replaced Luz Maguy Delfines Melendez by the American OH/OPP Irene Hester from Fort Worth, TX. Last season, Hester played for two clubs in Switzerland: VBC Groupe E Greenwatt Val-de-Travers and TSV Düdingen. At Val-de-Travers, Hester already played for Łódź' current assistant coach Alessandro Lodi, who was then her head coach.

Budowlani Łódź seems to have signed Courtney Thompson (04.11.1984, 1.73m).

During her collegiate career, Thompson played for the University of Washington. She was the starting setter in all 4 years and named 1st team All-American in 2004 and 2005.
Last season, she played in Puerto Rico, where she led Lancheras Cataño to their first national title and was named MVP of the league.
She’s a member of the US national team since 2007 and at the moment she’s competing with Alisha Glass, Carly Lloyd and Nellie Spicer for the spot as second setter on the team that goes to the Olympics in London :olympia:
