Terrible, terrible news. :( She's a very important player for Russia. I don't think there's anyone who can properly replace her. Maybe Kurilo but I don't think she'll be as good as Parubets. Russia have never won a medal at the olympics post-Karpol era and I've always thought that this olympic cycle sees Russia with its lowest chance ever to win one and the odds went further down with her injury.

He is getting so much hate, but if people stop doing ad hominem, avoid bias toward crovolley, and try to understand what he actually says, you would be surprise how right he is.

Unfortunately cheering for the most populist opinions is the new trend in this forum.

PS: what I said is only valid to his opinion on covid issue. His fanaticism and obsession on Conegliano also gets on my nerves as well.

I agree with you on this. Sometimes, I think people here are unfair to Crovelley to a point of ganging up on him. I think if he put his words more carefully, people would understand him more. But alas, not all of us here are eloquent and have english as first language so that could lead to a great deal of misunderstanding. I do agree him with regarding Conegliano as a great team and Italian League as an exceptionally competitive league. If he only didn't keep on repeating it every chance he get, people might le less annoyed and Conegliano might have more supporters here. LOL. But I don't agree with him with his stance on the Covid case. Also. there are times, he comes across as uninformed, insensitive, and too biased on certain issues. Still, that doesn't warrant the disrespect and hate he often gets.

But why can't people have their own opinion about certain things ???

And altough I just said death rate is 1% and that is it :what:

Because it comes across as heartless and insensitive. How do you think the family of that 1% feel? Should they feel great that it's just "1%?" There's nothing wrong about expressing opinions but careful consideration about what others could feel is a must.

That 1% or whatever percentage is accurate actually, is actually 1,253,640.

Human beings, officially, of course, passed away directly or largely aided by covanavirus infection, and you still have the strength to write this nonsense, not to mention other problems and disasters caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

I agree. It's easy to say that the death rate is just at 1% until you or your family is part of that "1%."

I think it's a little bit of both. It's not easy for a 30+ year-old player to be back in top form with the long pause in volleyball notwithstanding. That said, she is probably the most overused top player in the last 5 years, so definitely her age is starting to be a factor now. She still has her hard angles and her wrist power is still there if that's any consolation. Give her some time I think she can still play better than what she is showing now :wavy:

I agree with this. Be it in NT or club, she always has to take full responsibility in scoring. I hope she'll be ready for Tokyo next year (if ever the olympics pushes through)

Waiting for the results of this election is like watching a tie-break at an Olympic final with the score at 15-14. I may not be an American but the results of this election have a worldwide effect.

Hope Biden wins this election. I have the impression he's not the best one out there, but would rather have him as president than Trump. It's alarming how the fight is quite close.

What I also noticed about Turkey from last year is that there is a good replacement for most of the positions. Kubra did well in replacing Zehra when she's underperforming, Cansu breathes life to the team when she comes in for Naz, and Gozde Yilmaz... well, while I think not very spectacular, can contribute points here and there. Turkey did the right move in getting Guidetti (although a bit controversial) and they are definitely a dangerous team with him.
