I saw some hesitation at Turkish team too but It doesn't change my opinion and observation both teams left heart on court. I'm proud of Polish team and their fight because as player I noticed huge progress in last year. Mistakes, lack of communication etc etc - nobody's perfect especially for such young players as Stysiak or libero. Turkey was clear favourite before tounament and nobody expected such equal match.
i agree turkey was clear favourite against to polansd. that also makes the result predictable. isn't it?
the reason for this equal match is about very poor meliha's attack performance. and at the same time lack of middle blockers attack. during whole tournament turkish middle blocker did not show such miserable attacking performance. and that cause such result which makes you proud..

no my comment will be the same. today we saw that poland could get the match at 4th set. that is obvious. but turkish blocks did stop smarzek and stysiak before. even paralized. thats not about atmosphere of the hall. i said turkish victory is predictable because with paralized smarzek and stysiak poland won't have much chance for victory against to turkey.

attacks of smarzek and stysiak could be stopped well by blocking. especially by turkish blocks. as mentally these two attackers are not solid. and smarzek could not conceal her attack choice. so todays result is predictable in many ways. and if turkish middle blockers could attack we would not watch 5 set game.

naz , turkish setter was awful today.. and turkey could not get attacking support from middle blockers. hande and meryem were the only options.. meliha was also disaster.. and that was enouhg to defeat the poland. thats the point i want to make..

We'll see because match will played on neutral field and I think it's a huge difference in comparison to ECH.
according to wiki %2,34 of netherlands population is turks. in eurovision song contest, when turkey was one of the competitor, netherlands were giving 10 or 12 points to turkey. i mean turks in netherlans are dominant about these kind of nationalistic issues. so today probably there will be many turkish supporters and will dominate the atmosphere of the hall.. not as same with ankara but close i think..

Although their names are so, sport-clubs, reality is that they are actually soccer clubs. We see this in the media. 95% of all Fener, GS and Besiktas news in the media are all soccer-football related. They have no real basketball or volleyball fans, at least, a few only. That's, why we see their soccer fans in basketball and volleyball arenas, chanting soccer songs, etc. There is no volleyball culture at these so-called sport clubs. Volleyball culture is only at the clubs like Ecz, Vakif, Arkas, etc.
I think that is not the matter of having volleyball culture or not.. at least not for me.. I am a galatasaray supporter in football.. but my favorite volleyball team is vakif.. because in turkey only vakif presents something to watch.. observing vakıf's turkish players improvement is amazing.. their motivation and their team work always worth to watch.
if this teams name were galatasaray instead of vakıf nothing would change for me.. i would call galatasaray as real volleyball team.. -
