Yes, and you have Zagumny, Kubiak, Ruciak, Plinski, Wisniewski, Zatorski, Jarosz... an entire new starting seven! If someone has a bad day, there is another to replace him. I have huge hopes for Poland for the Olympics.

Pliński is not in the squad....Anastasi didn't want him on the bench, I think he deserved to play....

This Polish team plays a second year with this squad(with Bartman instead of Gruszka, Nowakowski, Kubiak) and now I think they are becoming a real threat. They remind me of our NT, but Poles don't have weak spots, or rather not that weak spots. And they have an excellent coach. If they somehow manage with the pressure I think they are destined to win something big with this squad. Maybe Olympics? I'm sick of Brazil and Russia winning everything. It's time for a change :P

It's certain when Bulgaria NT is torn in bits and pieces, I'll support Poland :win:

I think that first olimpic squad will be: Żygadło, Kurek,Winiarski, Nowakowski, Możdżonek, Ignaczak, Bartman...I think that with Brazil this weekend they'll play with this squad.
Anastasi said that they want play in finals in World League to build mentality of the team and they want win.

Okuniewska even if has other two years of contract with Pesaro may leave the team. After her great performances in Ankara's tournament a lot of teams are interested in Berenika and we know Pesaro hasn't much money..

Maren Grothues is close to Giaveno.

which team's are intrested to contract her???she was one of best blocker's in Ankara.

Anna Werblińska won't play in WGP 2012,problem's with achilles.... Polish coach is really angry, Anna is polish female ,,Wlazły"
Skowrońska will play, but after WGP she's going to have operation.

Hmm, maybe they want Azerrails succesfull transfer Kosek while she already is in town ;)

No but seriously, the only realistic I can see without Glinka is Kasia Skowronska, and they said she decided to stay in China :S

Maybe Werblińska?she's as good player as Osmokrovic, maybe better, after problems with her health, now she's is better and better...

Gratulations for Turkey team...I'm dissapointed that girls didn't fight but Turkish team is more stablished, since World Championship 2010 they we're playing in the same squad, they know each other and I saw it in the match....We've big problems in our team, there were lot's of conflicts, problems with coaches, problems with players, the squad which was playing was an experiment, the team has been playing for three weeks together, so I think that they did big job...the team was fighting thorugh tournament but didn't have enough power in the final and the stress did what did, it was our worst match...I think that Turkey didn't play much better than we in our's earlier matches and we could win this but the pressure ate our girls...but now I've a hope that we're going this new way with new players in our NT and without conflict, work work and work, I think that we're having a potential.....Congratulations, Turkey desrved to win today.

In the beginning of the match, Polish girls were relaxed and Turkish girls very nervous, but after Turkey turned the 1st set around everything changed. In such situations it shows that Turkish players have more experience from important matches, almost all of them have played important matches in NT and also in Champions League with their clubs. On the other side, Maj and Okuniewska probably never played in such an important match before. If Poland can't get a bit more calm again, Turkey will easily win 3rd set.

I agree that the level of the match is quite bad, but it's normal, both teams are nervous so many apparently stupid mistakes happen.

Our the worst match in this torunament,I can't believe it....

Kasia is great, I will see her first time in such important match, in NT she was the second setter for a long time, she's never played on huge pressure, but I think she's so stablished,self-confident and she never give up....Moreover, she's playing fast with lot's of combination and if there's a good reception-attackers aren't having the block, this moments are great. It's new conception of polish women's volleyball, she's better setter than Milena Radecka.I wish good luck for her and team! I think that on this position we're better that Turkey, Naz doesn't play lot's of combination with MB.

So, a little more than 1 hour left until the big final...after all the two best teams play there so I expect a good match. The "good" thing is that I can watch totally relaxed because it doesn't really matter to me who wins, all I want is a fair match and that the better team wins and that there will be no refereeing controversies and such...

For me, the biggest revelation of the tournament was Katarzyna Skorupa. I wrote once before that I never used to like her so much (though I liked Sadurek even less), I never understood why so many people wanted her back in NT, and even in Urbino I thought she was OK but not really outstanding. But in this tournament, her performance is absolutely brilliant, I think she is the main key for Polish success. She creates a very balanced and fast offense, even from not so good receptions. Actually I think sometimes Polish team plays like male teams, especially the way they sometimes run the pipe, that looks very much like men Volleyball. Also the experiment with playing with 2 Opposites turned out to be good, even if it causes problems in reception sometimes, but Zebrowska and Skowronska usually are good enough in attack to make up for it.

Yes, as u say, the match-up players/players is pretty equal in both teams, but I just think the crowd support and judges might be crucial. Just the fact that Turkey think they will get the close situations and Poland know they will not, is a crucial factor for me, they can play more relaxed and focus on the right things. Kozuch, Grun and Gamova have already lost their focus and temper with complaining to judges, we will se how Poland handles it.

Last of all, one of the big advantages to play at home is that u will get more decisions from the judges. Its not only in Turkey, but almost everywhere in the world. Just watch a NBA game, all players are not threated equally there either. I dont like that in qualies to olympics some teams gets this obvious advantages, but it is what is, not so much to do about it.

you're right, but we're having experienced players, Skowrońska played here, she knows what's going on here... the rest polish player's played in big tournament's, the audience is nearly as noise as in polish hall's, so I've a hope that girls will be concentrete...they are doing great job and have done more than others expected, Skowrońska says that they are nothing to loose and the Turkey?don't you think that the audience can help but this big pressure will not help them as it has?
