From what I saw before, Zhu Ting's reception is probably not as bad as Wang Yimei's was (last year wasn't TERRIBLE at least), but her approach when attacking from zone 2 is not good. She can only hit cross on the right side, so I think it's better to develop her reception skills and stick her to OS position. If really needed, Yang Fang-xu was the OP who also received during the youth competitions so they can put her in, but I wouldn't say that Zhu Ting's digging/reception is too bad right now.

According to recent news, she has made some progress in reception. As for the performance, we will know in the coming matches. BTW, i think she has the ability to receive and Lang Ping has been focusing on her improvment in reception.

The best spiker of 2013 Grand prix is Zhu ting , Jovana Brakocevic ranked No2.

    FIVB :rolll: :rolll: :rolll:
This is hopefully the death of the 21 points rule and it seems they forgot to announce the funeral

Meanwhile, I'm surprised how well Germany seems to have kept up with China, I'll have to watch that match later if it's available. And I hate it when matches are played in the middle of the night (for me that means) :wall:

I watched this match .It seems that these German girls have good defense

    Zhu Ting is incredible!

It‘ said tha on the night after the match against japan, zhu ting vomitted for several times because of overtiredness. Hui ruoqi and zjang lei cramped and xu there's some problem with her waist.

China disappoints me a lot. The opposite hitters are so terrible. They have no reception, have no defense, and have no attack. I don't know why they can be chosen as one of the members of Chinese team. What delights me is the MBs. Their attack is very good, especially Yuan Xinyue,..Although she is a MB, she ranks No3 in best scorer and No3 in best spiker as well as no8 in best blockers and No3 in best server. Amazing statistics for a MB. She is promising.Haha  I hope they can win in the match versus Thailand.

Assuming that China played with the same team as in Montreux, this is a very good result for Turkey!

This China Junior NT is weakened due to the attendances of Xu Ruoya and Tang Ningya, the opposite and outside hitter. Xu is 1.93 and she has strong serve. Also her attack is ok and she has the ability to shoulder at least 3 rounds od receptions. If she can play with Zhu Ting, then good! Tang Ningya has the ability to shoulder six rounds of receptions and her defense is better then Yang Fangxu. However, becasue the National Game of China will be held this year.Their club is not willing to send them to the NT junior team. So This China NT Junior team is a crippled team. How far it can go on the court of Junior World Champion ? It is a question.

    Congratulations to Brazil NT! :drink:

Unhappiness some of our new players, Tandara, Angélica and Bia was recovering from injuries and couldn't play. Nice to watch the competitiveness of the group. They played the greatest matches of the tournament. I wish to see Bia and Angélica playing in Alassio Cup, at least against Japan.

Some new faces delighted me too much. I mention two of them: Zhu Ting and Irina Zaryazhko. Zhu Ting can join chinese senior's team now. She is ready and my bet for China NT to 2016. Irina can help to solve one of Russia's NT weakness: attack from the middle. With Gamova and Sokolova becoming older and older, middle spikes will be very useful to Russia. They can't disregard it anymore.

Totally agreed!Especially Zhu Ting, she has the potential to be a very excellent player! I knew since that since last year when China vs Japan in Asia Youth Tournament. At that time sha got 17points from 29 spikes and Japanse block meant nothing to her. That was very impressive.Recently as she became the best scorer in the competition, many topics among fans are about her. someone thinks that since she is 1.95, verry tall, she propably cannot do a good job in reception and defense and thus advise that maybe she should change her position to be a outside hitter. I don't think so. I think she has a gift for opposite. I believe she can manage to improve her reception and defense. AS Russia, one of the obvious change is that they become faster and the players are not that tall as before on the whole. The headcoach of Russia had said he wanted to build up a faster Russia NT.

Zhu Ting the best scorer!hahaha, so awesome! Wang Mengjie is the best libero.... a big surprise  I think The libero of Dominican is very talented and skillful, why isn't she the best libero?

I just noticed that Milagros Cabral is team manager of Dominic Repucblic  It is nice to see such experienced players are still helping the team after retirement.

By the way, question to Chinese users: why there are so many chances in Chinese roster comparing to the one which participate to youth world championship in 2011 ?( Xu Ruoya and Tang Ningya were the best players of that team, I also liked the libero Huang Liuyan who is also absent in the roster. Are those players will join the team later or any injury ?

I can answer your question. Xu Ruoya and Tang Ningya somehow was not in the list of Junior NT this year. All of a sudden, Junior NT was informed that they would attend Montreux volley Master and the headcoach Xu Jiande wanted to absorb Xu and Tang into the roster. However, for the preparation of China national sports tournament (or something like that, I don't know the exact name) the coach of Jiangsu did not agree to let go of them. As for huang Liuyan, because there is something wrong with the passport, she cannot go to Swiss and after the competition she will met with the team for 2013 youth championship. Personally, I pay special attention to Zhu Ting. I hope she would perform well.

Not sure if this is the MVM roster...I think it's the overall roster for the summer, but someone from China wrote above that in Montreux they'll play with Junior NT because Lang Ping has different plans with the main team.

That's true! The Junior NT will attend Swiss. But there are some teammates both in the NT team and Junior NT. Like Zhu Ting and Wang Ning. I will pay special attention to Zhu Ting. she has great potential.Although born in 1994 or 1995, I am not clear, she is 1.95 meters tall now and is the tallest spiker in China's women volleyball history. Her attack is quite efficient among junior teams. I wonder her performance when she fights against the national teams。
