Renewed Effort and Intensity Pay Off

The Sears Centre crowd of approximately 4,000 fans saw a much better Team USA effort compared to Friday night resulting in a 3-1 win against the visiting 2010 World League Pool C opponent, Finland. Last night’s star player Urpo Sivula was held to a “mere” 22 points when compared to his 31 point effort the night before. Clay Stanley lead Team USA with a total of 19 points including 3 from aces...

If anyone will be in Taipei for Grand Prix Pool H send me a message. I will most likely be in Taipei for business purposes. If so, I am planning on attending GP matches.

Please, I ask you not put in the torrent because the file is too large and I have no way to pick it up because my server does not have enough ports for such sharing.
Really wanted the games in Megaupload, Rapidshare, etc. on other servers more common.
    Is it possible?

The torrent provides HD quality video MKV file. I connected my laptop to my Taipei hotel room TV and watched both matches this weekend. It was a treat. However, I understand that the high quality does not help you view the file because you cannot download it. Perhaps someone can download the file, convert it to a lower quality and smaller file size so you can download and watch.

    Best wishes...

Lausanne, May 20, 2009 – The FIVB announced today that the 2009 FIVB Club World Championship scheduled for Nov. 1-9 in Doha, Qatar, will be hosted elsewhere after the Qatar Volleyball Association requested a cancellation, citing financial difficulties.

The FIVB is in talks with a number of potential National Federations who have expressed interest in hosting the prestigious club event, and is confident the competition, following a seven-year hiatus, will take place as intended in early November.

"I regret that the organizers in Doha could not fulfil their obligations," said FIVB 2nd Executive Vice-President and Sports Events Council President Theofanis Tsiokris, "but we would like to extend our thanks to them for their efforts in attempting to put on the competition. The FIVB will now look to choose a new host country from a list of interested parties."

FIVB Volleyball Events Director Piero Rebaudengo also expressed his disappointment at the cancellation following fruitful talks with the Doha organizers in recent months.

"It's a pity that the tournament won't be held in Doha as they were keen to host it and proposed many interesting ideas that we were quite excited about," said Rebaudengo. "One such proposal, the 'Golden Formula,' will be implemented at the competition regardless of where it is staged."

The Golden Formula is a rule intended to prolong rallies that requires the first attack to be from the back row. The rule is already mandatory in the Qatari domestic league.
