Nancy Carrillo has played for the first time for Volero Zürich in the Swiss League in todays match against TSV Düdingen. According to Volero Zürich, the authorization ("Spielbewilligung") in Russia worked not as expected. So Nancy Carrillo came back to Zürich to practice with Volero and will play for Volero until further notice.

Nancy Carrillo is uncertain for Uralochka upcoming season, I dont know whats the problem, could possibly be her shape or something.

Her name appeared on Voleros team list for the Swiss League which was published by Swiss Volley:
    http://www.volleyball.ch/filea…e_2012-2013_V1/index.html

First i thought, that it has to be an error on this list, because Volero has never communicated on its website something else than the loaning to Uralochka. And as far as i know she didn't play for Volero in their first two Swiss League matches. So now, i'm confused what's going on there.

I bet the matches you watched on sportlemon was the final of the championship, the cup and just one in the other weeks... (matches broadcasted also by television) and not by sportube (they are 2 matches at the same time and you had the possibility to choose what to watch

I don't remember exactly, which matches i watched on sportube and which on sportlemon. But i guess your quote could be correct. Last season was the first, i try to follow the italian league. I really like to hear the italian fans singing their different slogans. And i especially remember one quite emotional italian tv commentator (his favourite words are "MAMMA MIA"!!! :D ).

Yesterday, i was in Düdingen to watch the match against Köniz. I really enjoyed it :D . Great and emotional fight between the two teams, with long rallies. And happy end for TSV Düdingen. It was their first win against Volley Köniz in their 5th season playing in the NLA. Congrats Power Cats! :flower:
TSV Düdingen: Lakovic, Sundström, Lejczyk, Mueller, Vanis, Munoz, Salgado (L). Also: Wieland and Nicole Dietrich.
Volley Köniz: Ferreira, Kubinova, Jenkins, Schafflützel, Schulz, Moffett, Pauli (L). Also: Alves Cassemiro, Ostrowska, Svobodnikova, Kronenberg.
Best Player Awards: Pamela Lejczyk (TSV Düdingen) and Mélanie Pauli (Volley Köniz).
TSV Düdingen without Vanessa Belli (injured). Volley Köniz without Mandy Wigger (still recovering after knee injury).

I remember that one of Users Brooke probably played last season here. Does She play still?

Brooke Seaman (i don't know, if it's her, you mean) played last season for VBC Biel in the NLA. But this club doesn't exist anymore. She's not playing in the NLA this season. And i don't know if she has found a club in a lower league in Switzerland or abroad.

Nothing has changed concerning the "information policy" of Swiss Volley (our federation) on its website.
No stats available. No starting six available. No names of MVP's available.... :sos:
I really don't know if it's a lack of ressources or just a lack of will to provide the volleyball fans at least with basic information about the league matches.
Most of the clubs publish match reports (mostly from their local newspapers) a few days later on their websites. But that shouldn't be an excuse for Swiss Volley not to offer more information. :teach:

I often hear that myself, when i tell someone i´m goin´ to watch a volleyball match, they are like: Volleyball? We played that in school, it´s boring. They have no idea that it is a fast, dynamic, action-paced sport.

I know what you mean, Raven. I made the same experience. They don't believe it.

Usually there are some short reports about matches in some regional news/sports show (e.g. MDR, NDR, BR), but I can't remember anytime in the past 10 years when a complete match from German league was broadcasted on TV. With the trend going towards online streaming it won't become any more likely in the future to see matches on normal TV :S

When i watched the last german cupfinal live on "laola", i really asked myself: "Why isn't this broadcasted live on ARD or ZDF? This is such a huge event (with over 10'000 spectators!). You couldn't have a better opportunity to make volleyball more popular." ?(
