  • 13th Chinese National Games 2017 - Volleyball Event

    The 8th to 13th finals of National Games
    Date: June 15 - June 21
    Place: Yunnan
    Teams: Yunnan, Sichuan, Henan, Bayi, Liaoning and Guangdong
    Only the first-place team will take part in the main senior event of 2017 Chinese National Games.
    After June 21, many players including ones that joined the senior NT will retire unofficially.
    The four-year cycles of the rest five teams are all over.

    The team is lack of many players - Cai Xiao-qing [time conflict and injury], Qian Jing-wen [senior NT], Gao Yi [senior NT], Ou-yang Qian-qian [unknown or to prepare for the junior event of Chinese National Games?], Xu Xiao-qing [the same as Ou-yang Qian-qian]


    Just I guess the roster:
    S - Cai Ya-qian, Sun Yan
    OP - Chen Pei-yan [Qian Jing-wen and Ou-yang Qian-qian both without time]
    OH - Han Wen-ya, Wu Han, Yang Wen-jin
    MB - Xie Xing, Zhang Yu-qian, Yang Han-yu
    L - Zang Qian-qian, Xu Jia-nan


    Guangdong Sports Channel will give the replay [Time:UTC+8]:
    June 17 - 19:30 China - India
    June 18 - 23:05 China - Russia
    The schedule of next week is unknown now.

    OP - Kou Zhi-chao, Wu Hao
    OH - Li-dong Ma-ya, Du Hai-xiang, Wang Wen-zhen
    MB - Fang Hao-yu (also OH/OP), Gu Jia-feng, Miao Ruan-tong, Liang Chun-long, Zhong Lei
    L - Ke Jun-huang, Chen Tao
    Dai Qing-yao and other few players are not in this roster temporarily.

    Chinese peoples said Japanese names with Chinese characters - surnames first and given names second.


    Kimura Saori (Japanese) Saori Kimura (Western) - 木村纱织 is only right full name.


    About foreigners of Japanese descent:
    Kawika Shoji and Erik Shoji could be only translated by Western names - 卡维卡-庄司 and 埃里克-庄司.
    Tamari Miyashiro - if you thought she is an American: 玉里-宫代, if you thought she is an Japansese woman: 宫代玉里 (without "-")
    Ana Tiemi Takagui - 安娜-千惠美-高木 (Brazil) 高木千惠美 (Japanese as "Takagui Tiemi")


    EDIT: Chinese media used 高仓 (Takakura) as the surname of Ana Tiemi Takagui a few years ago.
    However, Takagui should be 高木 by Japanese language or Chinese language. "高仓" is wrong.

    Where is the good situation in Turkey?
    Do you all hope Zhang Chen (becomes a new father), Dai Qing-yao (injured), Geng Xin (injured) and Zhang Zhe-jia (unknown reason) help once and once?
    I could find many excuses in order to "help" you.
    Chinese National Games, injuries, tireness, Lozano couldn't speak English, the more foolish CVA gives Lozano almost no time, Lozano is too old to know the present best volleyball sports ...
    However,

  • 2017 FIVB World League

    What do you think about Chinese NT?
    In Turkey, I thought the team did their best though it lost to Turkey.
    However, this week in Finland, the players' situations are large problems during the match against Australia.
    I hope they change it and be better and better.

    Let's focus on the whole players of Chinese NT instead of only Hui Ruo-qi, shall we?
    I like the new two MBs, Gao Yi and Wang Yuan-yuan.

    After Week 1 of World League 2017, the new Chinese men's national team gave us a good result though it lost the match against Turkey.
    The whole 14 players got the attendance chance.
    They have both some advantages and some shortcomings.
    I wish they become better in Finland on Week 2 of WL2017.


    Only my own Top 5 of the ranking in Week 1: Ji Dao-shuai, Jiang Chuan, Chen Long-hai, Mao Tian-yi and Zhang Bing-long
