Mihajlovic won't play against Poland either. I'm really curious what Terzic is going to do now. At this point Nikolic has enough offensive power only for one set, after that it really looks like playing with 3 liberos. Brakocevic played a fantastic match today and saved our butts, but there needs to be another option.

So
RussiaSerbia won thanks toGamovaBrakocevic. Blah. -
Rasic got a serve in! Pigs are flying outside!
-
It is really good to see you finally find another 'freaking swear' target
Well, they're both deserving of that prestigious award now
-
Once again we see how important is Mihajlovic for Serbia. Without her Serbs gone the team of 1 player and those kind of teams don't win big tournaments. And they play really boring now. Like Russians used to play.
Exactly. And I don't know what Terzic has been doing the whole summer not having any back-up plan for a situation like that. Malesevic and Malagurski haven't basically got s single chance this summer and are probably completely uncoordinated with the rest of the team.
-
OK, is she misses one more serve I'm gonna flip out.
-
OMG, take freaking Rasic out when she is supposed to serve, I can't take it anymore.
Thank God for Brakocevic. -
OMG, there's no escape from that song, they play it in the Schwerin hall as well.
-
God. Terzic should ask for a timeout whenever Serbia goes 2 points behind. EVERY SINGLE time it happens, they proceed to fall apart.
-
Will Rasic ever get a serve in? A million dollar question. Oh yeah, she did it that one time against Turkey 2 years ago, but just barely.

Serbian team:
S: Ognjenovic, Zivkovic
OPP: Brakocevic, Bjelica
OH: Nikolic, Mihajlovic, Molnar, Malesevic, Malagurski
MB: Rasic, Krsmanovic, Veljkovic
L: Cebic, MajstorovicMore or less expected. Nice to see Malagurski make the cut, although I'm not sure how many chances she'll get, she hasn't been used much this summer.

Its so hilarious and pathetic saying that Serbia keeping the main players is correct because of ECH
Obviously only Russia and Italy can make trouble to Serbia and other teams no chance
So Serbia is right coz it is European team and China is wrong coz it is Asain team??1) ECh starts a week earlier.
2) Serbian players have travelled literally all across the world over the last month unlike the Chinese players who stayed at home the whole time before moving to Japan.
3) China can face stronger opposition at the Asian championship only in the later stages while Serbia is drawn into a strong group with Poland, Bulgaria and Czech Republic and need to be on top of their game right from the start.
4) Serbia had very little chance of winning the gold medal after losing to China, while China was still in contention and had a realistic chance of winning. So, it's not the same situation.

[/b]Belarusian OPP, Oksana Kovalchuk, resumes her career after maternity leave last season. She signed with Pribuzhie Brest. Not familiar with that team so not sure if the translation was correct.
It is correct. I don't think it's surprising you haven't heard of the team considering it plays in Belorussian league.

Thanks for providing all the articles
I've heard many reasons for excluding players from a team, but "she should not be a bench player" has never been one beforeI think it's just a polite way of saying "Your time is over and we're no longer counting on you", and it seems like Borodakova understood it the same way.

Decent match for Serbia, but they still tend to lack focus at times. It will improve in the following weeks, I hope. Blocking could have been somewhat better, it feels like Dijkema's entry threw them off a bit, and Netherlands seemed to play better when she was on court.
Maja went from not using MBs at all last weekend to overusing them a bit today and Terzic scolded her for that Although, both Rasic and Krsmanovic looked very sharp.
Jeez, I really wish Molnar would contribute just a bit more in attack, the team would really rock then -
What is the temperature in Belgrade at the moment?
It's 38 C, but probably closer to 40 in downtown
-
I really don't understand why Serbia plays at 5:30 PM. It's the hottest day of the year, the heat is unbearable and logically the attendances will suck. I'd rather die than have to step outside now.
-
Also has a video on it.
Haha, great I hope they're not too bothered by scorching heat here.

A reception for the Serbian and American team at the US embassy in Belgrade.

Thank God for Rasic's blocking, that's all I'm gonna say Hopefully this was just one crappy match that's bound to happen sooner or later.
Now do better in front of your home crowd in Belgrade next week.
