Ever since ECZ lost that 2-0 20-10 lead against Vakifbank they have been pathetic against them. They played such a good match at the CWCH but now they just can't do anything about them.

What does Larson even do anymore? She can't kill a ball and all her receptions go to the 3m line at best

I dont know Im not sure but I would take Boskovic out and would try Larson-Neslihan-Kosheleva, Kosheleva playing as non receiving OH.

Yeah that could work. I just think Kosheleva has not played too many good matches for ECZ, Boskovic has been a lot more reliable this year though even she's not been so good in the last few matches

To be fair to Barbolini I think it is the right choice. Larson is needed for reception, Adams is the only good MB, Ognjenovic is much better than Nilay and Boskovic is the best attacker. If Kosheleva was in the roster which foreigner do you think he should take out?

Did VakifBank automatically qualify for Champions League next season by winning the competition this past weekend? Or do they need to beat Eczacibasi now to qualify?

Well Pomi didn't qualify for this year's edition by winning the 2016 CL so I'm guessing the same will happen for Vakifbank. Of course CEV could introduce some rule change if they wanted to. But yeah, the winner of this match qualifies to next year's CL I think

    Tough draw for Osasco.

Rio has strong competition too but they can probably handle Dynamo, maybe they could turn Anne to an opposite if Monique gets stuffed. Vakifbank is quite scary though. They are not the same team who played last year in the same tournament.

Vakifbank are the best team but they're not invincible. Fenerbahce beat them 3-0 twice this year and Galatasary beat them easily in the TL playoffs so Rio will have a chance. All they have now that they didn't last year is huge mental and tactical advantage over Eczacibasi

Clearly it is about the money but it's not as if Conegliano earned their spot. If they had beaten Vakifbank then they would be in but they didn't so they are not entitled to a spot IMO. What I do think is ridiculous is that Conegliano thought they had secured their spot by beating Dinamo as FIVB should have told them the rules. That is where FIVB did badly in this situation

Skorupa has probably been the best setter in Italy this year and when she plays well she can be fantastic. But when things start to go wrong for her they go wrong BAD and she looks like she has no clue what to do out there. Really good fight from Modena though

On the other hand Eczacibasi's number 1 transfer of this season will be a local defensive OH. I'm not sure who that can be, maybe Damla Cakiroglu will be back, maybe Esra Gumus who had a bad season, Fatma Yildirim, Guldeniz Önal and Birgul Guler are other alternatives. They might use their foreign spots for Boskovic, Ognjenovic and one foreign middle next season. However Neslihan is playing great again so this can open 1 more spot for a foreigner on the court, most likely an offensive OH.

Thaisa is still contracted to them until May 2018 so she will stay, they could also use a good local MB. I expect they will transfer another foreign OH as well hopefully this time someone who can receive a little better than Kosheleva

I would be surprised if Kosheleva doesn't leave to be honest. Having 6 foreigners is too many as the team still struggles for chemistry when there is a different team in TL and CL. Also if they are not in the CL and they probably won't be, there is even less reason to have so many foreigners. Of the 6 foreigners they have currently Kosh has probably been the most disappointing so I expect she will go to Conegliano or somewhere.

I'm sure most people here don't think anything like that about you. I may not agree with you on everything but you are a good poster with a lot to say and if you mostly enjoy talking on here then I think you should keep doing it. Of course it's your choice but I think most of us would prefer if you kept posting :D

EXACTLY.....I dont know what is the thing with people on this blog, but everyone loves to kiss the Americans butt....even when they play bad they still get praised. And when I come out and say the true they all call me names and say I just hate americans and Im just hating on them... Look at Him Kill stats yesterday and she was awful, Larson was awful both nights but still people thinks she did amazing. Everyone saying now Adams is better than Rasic, sure Adams did attack really well yesterday, but nobody will consider her no-blocking and the mistakes she made. And she only scored 10 points....Folie did a great job scored the same but nobody even cares to remember her name...

But now Sloetjes played great, and nobody will say anything and praise her. Same as Ortolani... even Zhu that was a beast, there`s still some people saying she does not deserves MVP>

What I get from this blog is....mostly of the people on here are from Europe, and they are kind jealous of each other "as a country" , that`s why a lot of the European players get bashed all the time. They will only praise the players that are from their own country usually, and when a player from another country does something good they get jealousy ....and when they play bad they are easily bashing them. And then when I say a American did not play well, they all attack me and say I`m hating on them :obey:

Robinson yesterday played really well. Larson today played some very good defence but overall I agree she has been bad this year, Hill I agree was not that good. I love Lonneke and am pleased for her to shut up her critics, Naz as well. As someone from Britain I have no bias against any if these countries, I just like the players I like, Maja for example :D

Gala showed that Vakif can struggle against quick plays. I know that was without Rasic, but I don't think she is fully healthy yet. If Conegliano can receive as well as yesterday then i give them a good chance, but Vakif are a great serving team so that will be hard.

Neslihan is such a good player to watch. It's like she can choose to put the ball anywhere on the court. You see so many players who just have almost no variety, but she still scores at the highest level not because she is incredibly hard hitter, but because she has great skill and great volleyball intelligence
