Playing with Kurek means less balls to the MBs and this is the reasult. Treia should try Paparoni in his old position as OH. They can't go on this way: Kovar plays like a monster a game and the following one he is the worst player from his team; Kurek, even when he is does well his spiking job, kills the MBs' game by passing. 7% perfect passing is a nightmare and he's helped a lot by Baranowicz, who can run his MBs even with bad reception...

Supporters from Treia are right when they say the polish guy is useless for the team and there isn't any real back up for the OHs...

Don't want to contradict you man, but I don't think Kurek was a problem today. Sure, his passing skills are rather weak and today was no exception. However:
-he received only 15 out of 85 balls and Macerata's total perfect passing was better than their average this season
-Both Podrascanin and Stankovic attacked pretty much the same number of balls they usually do.

I agree with you when you say Kurek has been disappointing thus far, but I don't think he was responsible for any bad today attacking with 62% while the whole team missed 28 (28!!) serves. That is definitely Macerata's weak link, they will need to work a ton on that.

The libero is Parrocchiale, she was super impressive and she really has so much potential. Klineman was extremely good as well.

I agree the level way pretty high, Firenze was fantastic in difense. This year is going to be fun, with basically 10 teams that can play at a good level; the level has definitely increased this year.

Apparently Mihaijlovic is back to Volero. She played tonight against Busto, don't know if I had lost this step and she was already announced or she is just training with them waiting for another club to come up. But I strongly doubt it

It was a fun match actually. Matey started pretty slowly, but regrouped and was terrific in the last 2 sets. Both teams will have to adjust and somehow hide their weaknesses.
However, I am not sure Perugia is that weaker: all in all they just changed the setter and one outside hitter, both Vujevic and Barone are in bench so they could potentially play. Petric is a huge loss but hopefully eventually either Fromm (so weak today and lately) or Sunder (great today until the last couple of points) will take his spot. We'll see.

Couldn't watch the last 2 sets but I felt DelCore was still in great shape in this match. She will be the most crucial player for Kazan, together with Gamova. If they hold up Kazan might have some chances, but their roster seems way weaker than Krasnodar and also at the european level I feel they will be struggling a lot more. But it is understandable after all they achieved last year.

In Italy nothing is over until it's over, so don't count Ornavasso out until a few rounds of appeals and this kind of staff. We'll see, however, if it goes wrong for Ornavaso, Omsk and Igtisadchi it will be tough for all these players to find clubs right before the new club season starts.

Actually what I was impressed the most with was her defense, she really improved a lot on that and was superb in most matches.

    Congrats USA
Loved the match, China really raised their level in that third set and the final set was pretty amazing, also considering the mutual meltdowns.

SO, now the WCH has ended on the womens' side as well: how do you rate it?

I think: gamewise the level wasn't the greatest even though the level got higher in the last few days and drama increased as well
Organization: i have to say it was great IMO; often packed crowds, great atmosphere, even the first rounds had good audiences and all seemed to be alright.
    Congrats Italy.
