Anyways the US had a great first 2 rounds, then they should have probably given a little more importance to the match against Brazil. However, I would not give any definite judgement based on the last match only. Let's see how they perform tonight first and they we can keep talking

Italy very very well thus far, Usa with some serious issues at blocking also. They are often way too close at the middle even when Chirichella is first row.

A good crowd already. I have to say this WCH has been very enjoyable on this topic as well. ù
GL China and Brazil! -
Ita, Usa, Rus is going to be really unpredictable in my opinion. Russia is just scary potentially, Usa has the best game when on, Italy is the host, has been playing pretty good at times and has remarkable depth.
My only concern is that Italy will have serious problems dealing with Russian heights, while they might better cope with the american gamestyle. However, the italians have improved their serve skills dramatically this summer and this might be extremely helpful against russians.

Too much for the "Italy is going to cheat the draw" story haha.
-
The guys sitting there are just handling the technique, the 2nd referee needs to make the decision by seeing the video material. But yes, challenge system has worked MUCH better in men's WCH
Man, are you sure? The challenge was totally dreadful in Poland, don't we all remember? The referees made tons of mistakes. It was definitely more complete because of the net touch, but there were some really questionable choices. Nothing of it happened in Italy so far.

Poor game by Serbia, I agree they need a stable reciever to be contendents again, somewhat like Murilo is doing for Brazil right now.
Round3 will be fun as hell, I would definitely not count Italy out as many might. Let's see how they cope with China tonight (even though some players might as well just rest) first.

Some players are soooooo overrated when they're playing in their club's leagues...we can see a lot of them in this WCh..
Namely who are you talking about? De Kruijf? I think a lot depends also on the team they are in

ANd the livescore is gone, again

If you guys want to follow the "old good" live score, here is the link. Just change the match number at the end of it and you'll have access to every single match.
This is the link for the first match, Croatia-Argentina:

Well, there are so many matches in this tournament that it's well possible that some teams will find their forms along the way, while others will lose it. Brazil is clearly the favorite, but I want to see everyone play first and then comment.
I think it's going to be an exciting tournament, let's hope the quality of play will be high and the atmosphere at least half as good as the polish one.

Could someone please tell me what the lineup for the USA was? Did Harmotto finally play? Thanks
-
Clearly man, I am not sure if you have seen Carli last year but she was dreadful, while Ferretti is very underrated: there must be a reason why pretty much all the spikers she set for played at their best with her.

The only thing I agree with the brazilians is that, since they were the best one in their group, they should have had the advantage to have the day-off and Poland shouldn't.
-
the video-check is so disgraceful, really.
-
All is going perfectly with the fans, the audience, the drama. All expected
But the website is a pure mess (not their fault maybe, but I thought they'd at least improve it with the days) and the videochallenge is completely crazy. Too many mistakes today, that cannot happen with this system.

Italy has indeed been very lucky but they always took their chances instead of spoiling them. Actually, I think they have not been too lucky because I believe there has been a major gap between the top 2 teams (Brazil/Russia) and the rest in the last couple of years. Italy, with some degree of luck but with merits as well, has been the best of the rest, a group of good teams all of which had major flaws in their game.
That said, I love Iran's game and I hope Italy will improve during this Championship.
I will join my fellow mates in the complaints about the Website. How can it be possible to make 100 steps backward instead of moving forward (or even stand still?). No livescoring, no proper stats (you only get the attack percentage, but no mention to the mistakes, blocks, serve faults), a complete mess. I am speechless.
