While I disagree with VolleyNewsRadek’s opinion about Lavarini quitting his job in clubs I have to agree with the fact that with him our NT rooster list is rather unchanged and static. It looks like club performance doesn’t matter to Lavarini that much and he prefers to work with group of players he started working with in fist years he took over our NT. I guess we will see if there will be some changes this year but I honestly don’t believe it lol
let’s just pray that he will remind about Górecka.. considering she was a starter during his first year with NT

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this matter, and I am simply expressing mine. The list of players called up for national team training looks like a payroll at a state-owned enterprise – fixed, stable and unchanged regardless of the players’ current availability. Unless, of course, someone on that list sends in a sick note, in which case someone else will be invited to serve the balls during her absence.
Sometimes someone announces that they are no longer interested in playing for the national team, and then a place becomes available on the list. In other cases, the squad is ‘set in stone’ and ‘hermetically’ sealed.
The list of names has been in the association’s possession since last season and it is only a matter of time before the association makes it public.
When Grbić took charge of the national team in January 2022, he had just terminated his contract with Sir Safety Perugia (an Italian club). The Italians were not happy about him holding both roles, but it was he who decided to part ways with the club to focus on Poland.
The contract with the PZPS contains a clause restricting his ability to work for a club — in particular, he is not permitted to coach a Polish club or certain foreign clubs (e.g. Italian ones). This is standard practice for full-time head coaches of top national teams, to avoid conflicts of interest, burnout and scheduling issues.
Lavarini is a man as far as I know. I’m not sure if you realised but the majority of the top NT coaches are coaching also clubs, the only exception is Italy, but Velasco is already old so he even couldn’t do that anymore. And regarding his choices, this is just his style and a vision for the team, I’m sure that if he would be just focusing on the NT fully, it wouldn’t change anything. You can like that or not, but since he took over, the level of the team has raised and we started to be competitive on the world stage. Maybe you should focus more on spreading the fake rumours that you made up, how is Damaske doing in Aras Kargo btw?

Funny thing that he is sharing Opole’s possible transfers while at the same time he was asking about their movements on the siatka.org forum

What kind of source is "Turkish Twitter"? At the moment Velasco hasn't uttered a word about the next season. He said that now he needs at least 20 days of rest and then he'll begin thinking about 2026. In any case Italy has plenty of athletes in every role to get in the medals even without the top players.

I’ve seen on the Turkish Twitter that Velasco wants to give some break to Orro, Sylla, Egonu and Danesi, not sure if only for VNL, but for the whole summer. That would be a big downgrade for Italy, they still have Antropova, but not sure if she can compensate quite poor OH pool.

but as the opposite to you, I’m the realist and believe me that I know that those VNL bronzes and OG QF are probably the maximum of my team, at least with the current roster. And you were still claiming that Serbia belongs to world top tier while they got similar result at the last OG, couldn’t even make top 8 this Wch, having the greatest Ohs like Uzelac, Ivanovic and “worlds best blocker” Kurtagic. Moreover that team couldn’t even beat France and Germany while playing in front of the home crowd. -
Congrats to Turkiye and first medal in major competitions. Vargas was just insane, Cansu and middles on point plus Ebrar hold that reception really great with the exception of the first set. It wasnt flawless game but it was more than enough against interesting and funny to watch Japanese team, but tbh they just lack quality. And it is far from only physical issue. They didn't do great in reception at all, and weakest link at the end was setter, so....

I’m dead with all those “what if”. Serbian fans should be happy that Boskovic is not injury-prone, because you wouldn’t have any of those past medals. There is no other team depended on one player like Serbia, and this year iconic VNL 0/8 run and 0/2 at this WCH are the biggest prove for that.

No worries, they are still favorite to win the whole competition and losing the set vs Belgium (which is not that bad) is not changing anything
