To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if CEV decides to disqualify all russian teams in case of conflict escalation
But why? Because the biased mainstream media painted Russia as the "boogeyman" in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and everyone should hate them?

If Nimir is heading to Zenit, then Poletaev must surely leave unless he is okay to be a bench player no? Poletaev can go back to Kuzbass I think he will be good there.
-
Zenit staff were being cocky, I think they under estimated the opponent thinking they can win with a weakened squad instead of postponing the match
-
Zenit about to be swept..
-
That last spike by Jenia
-
IMO, Voronkov is the only one playing well today.
He is wildly inconsistent to be a starter IMO.. but Zenit obviously has no choice at the moment
-
What happened to Yakovlev?
He is being useless so far.
If he is playing like he used to, this match will be different. The drop in his performance is big
-
Zenit looks like an average team without Kliuka
-
Iakovlev is definitely having a weaker season compared to the last one.. weird seeing as him and Kobzar are starters in the NT.
-
LOL. Why is Urnaut playing libero position?
That's the million dollar question.. Sammelvuo is bored I think lol
-
Zenit is playing Grebennikov as OH now
EDIT: Looks like Kliuka and Poletaev are MIA due to covid, still weird seeing Jenia spike the ball..

Here's a good tribute video I found of Russia's twin towers - Goncharova & Kosheleva. I think they were one of the most iconic wing-spiker duo in the last decade, but even with the height of their powers, Russia didn't achieve great results with this duo. For the new gen, one of that spot is definitely Arina, just waiting for her partner in crime lol Kadochkina maybe?

Is there any update on Vlasov’s injury? I have tried to search but couldn’t find anything in English.
No further report on the extent of his injury and/or whether he will have surgery. He's lucky he got injured at the start of the new year, he still has chances to return before the end of the season, and more importantly, gain a foothold in NT as he was always the 4th MB going to WCH.
-
In other news, Startseva to Dinamo Moscow. More problems for Russia
-
Zenit SP serve is average but Yakovlev's serve is all kinds of wrong.
Add Kurkaev and Vlasov to that list, basically Russia's starting Mbs except Volvich who has a good and steady serve
-
12 games losing streak
-
Kobzar with a predictable set to Poletaev.
It was a low set to the back line, and Poletaev hit the ball while he was under it
-
How many blocks Yakovlev have already?

This new arena dubbed the "Ice Palace" will be the venue for the WCH Finals nexyt year.. looks absolutely massive
