I’m sorry for the off-topic, but do someone knows about how much the average prices for the matches at the Montreux volley masters are ? I’m planning to go this year and want to have an idea . I’ve tried to check in their official website but it says they aren’t Available yet.

More surprised about the choosing of Whilte over kingdom than Lowe over Drews . I guess he called her back for a reason ... and here she is ...

Btw, I just read coach KK has a contract with the USA NT until 2024... 🙂

Fabris (FIPAV president) complained about the same thing. He said he a meeting with the presidents of the most important european Federations. It's ridiculus NT season lasts more than the club season. There is no rest at all. Injuries increase every day. Even the youngest ones aren't perfectly fit nowdays. FIPAV even wanted all the italian teams out of the CEV competitions for the 2018-19 if nothing changed...
First of all, at least for me the club season is too long, not the NT one. We have a bunch of really annoying events like World club championships. At least CL last shorter now. The NT season is not so long, it's just WNL and WCH which is not a lot, the case is, the WNL should start after at least one month break. If it was scheduled in July it would be good at teams would have a lot of time to prepare for WCH.

    TRue !

And there it is, the soooo and very rethorical answer of blaming Americans for everything.
    :aww:

Actually Like someone said , I feel like Buying a beer to the IOC. FIFA should take a step forward too and cancel them being the host for the soccer championship next year.
It’s outrageous such a magnum event will be hosted by such a corrupt system

***note that i said “system” , not people .

Speaking a little of this hot mess with Russian state sponsored dopping scandal , I always wondered and found quite odd , the not appearance of gamova and startseva -I believe was back in 2016 -of a very important final in a tournament of their club. I think they said they’re food poisoned and therefore weren’t able to play such final . And then right after that , comes the very controversial decision of coach Marivech by cutting a such an experienced setter as Startseva is, and a very young talented Parubetz, who got to make the team throught out the whole Olympic cicle . All this , was very , very awkward situation to me. IMHO, They were simply dopped, and with water boiling all I Over the Russian federation , would’ve been better just take them off the team.
I also wonder why the Brazilian volleyball federation hasn’t ever protested after all this , by calling and having reviewed all the athletes who played the world champions for 2006-10 ( women side ) and the London final game of 2012. ( men’ side )

I dislike so much this current Chinese team. The zhu dependence is too much for such a historic program . The last time I saw china to play as team , was back on 2008. Since then , they have always relied in one player and that sucks .

You guys ! I was in Anaheim this weekend when I bumped into Larson ,and had the opportunity to speak with Her for almost 3-4 minutes while she was on her way to the arena for the match last Sunday! I have to stay I got a little nervous but her kindness and humbleness really made a big impression on me .

I was able to watch the game ( in person) and all USA girls looked so fit and in a very good shape. Drews is a beauty and looks very tall! She moves really fast all over the court and her approaching to the net is quite something ( very fast too). She hits hard and has a very good technique at blocking ( her height helps a lot I guess ) . Also ,she speaks a lot when the ball comes over the USA side so is very comunicative.
Courtney did a great job on passing , not that much in defense although all USA needs right now is a good pass to keep their game In system. Watching the USA playing is simply spectacular. Their speedness and precision is amazing and Lloyds connection with middle blockers ( Adams and foluke ) was very on point for the short time the have been training together .

On Brazil' side , they couldn't pass a decent ball. It's true , they looked tired ( guess due to the jet lag , cause they got there the night before ) , but still they didn't show anything out of this world . I know they can do better but from what I saw , I really don't know how that team won the last WGP.

For the records I'm not an specialist in volleyball , but a big g fan of the game and these were my impressions ... :wavy:

    She retired, didn't she?

from what Ive heard she hasn't fully retired...... She is expecting now, and also expecting to rejoin USA NT in the near future... the thing is with rising stars like Hancock , Carlini , will be quite hard for her to show coach Kiraly she;s still at the same level shown at WCHP 2014... What a luxury fir the USA in regards to setters position... :drink:
