He's a strong OH, not world class. I saw far better brazilians in Serie A1/Superlega. Anyway, I think he's the biggest talent after Bruninho and Lucao.

CBV naturalized Leal for a reason, after all.

You could say that to Turkiye? They don't have a world class talent, they even naturalized Vargas after all.

Ze Roberto used to care about this tournament and sent the full A team or a mixted team to this tournament. This group won't Challenge Dominican Republic IMHO.

you do realize that most of the NT members are already starting in their domestic leagues. Naiane, Tainara, Maiara, Lorena, Edinara, and Lais are still there while giving more experience to the future of Brazil - Helena, Luzia, Aline, Larissa, Lele.

It was the club's decision (Itambe requested for Kisy, Julia Kudiess to be released from Panamericana, so did Osasco for Maira). Turkish League has already started so Diana, Julia B, Gabi, Macris are already overseas. Not Ze Roberto's.

    Pan American Cup Roster

    S: Naiane, Carol Leite

    OP: Tainara, Edinara, Sabrina

OH: Maiara Basso, Helena Wenk, Talia, Aline Segato

MB: Jussara, Lorena, Larissa Besen, Luzia

    L: Lais, Lele

I'm not comparing. I said Brazil didn’t produce a world class player since the 1986 generation. You told me some names and I said they are strong players, but not world class.

Lucarelli and others not world class? they won at the Olympics. They are world class.

None of them is a world class player like Gustavo, Giba, Dante, Murilo, André Heller, Ricardinho and Escadinha. They are good or very good (strong) players, but Brazil had a whole starting 6 + 1 made of world class players 2 dacades ago.

why are you comparing players of yesteryears with the current crop? If that's so, the earlier players of other countries are better than the current one.

you could say that about every other team out there.

His biggest problem is that Brazil stopped producing world class players since the 1986 generation (Lucas and Bruninho).

They have some strong players, but far from the all-star team that dominated the world. Remember there was a moment Murilo - who was just a bench player for years - was the best player of the world (in 2010). It gives you a perfect picture of the greatness of the starting players.

    Douglas is overrated IMHO.

You have Lucarelli, Alan, Thales, Cachopa. And now they have Darlan

This will be an Olympic year and if he returns, that's just for one tournament - maybe Douglas will return and that would be it. OH3/OH4 spot is an open race because both Adriano and Honorato are horrible, but I doubt that there's anyone new besides Arthur that can actually make the team level-wise. New coach can give more playing time to Maique (Thales was better this year, but I can see that), give some chances to different MBs for MB3 spot - there won't be any revolution unless injuries.

Renan wasn't as bad as people were saying and he's not as good as he should be as a coach of Brazil NT, so this is a good info for Brazilians.

I'd like to see some new blood:

S: Matheus Brasilia, Mateus Bender, Gustavo Cardoso

OH: Arthur, Lukas B, Marcus Vinicius, Victor Birigui, Bryan Silva, Carlos Castro, João Franck, Leonardo Leodolter, Daniel Muniz

    OP: Oppenkoski, Sameul Neufeld, Chizoba

MB: Leo, Thiery, Geovane Kuhnen, Witallo, Pietro Santos

    L: Alexander Elias, Bryan Boll

Many people like the superation story of short players. And of course, Honorato has improved a lot during the last years, even going beyond his limits. But I dont think he is starting NT material for a team with the ambitious of Brazil.

More than improve, Bruninho should find his former shape. That would be enough. He has been setting so many "jacas" during this tournament. While Thales sometimes have good matches as tonight, but others he is hole in defence.

Renan should (MUST) try as many OHs during the VNL. Regarding Douglas, he can continue his path as influencer. It is almost impossible he will come back.

OH? What about João Franck, Lukas B, Arthur, Marcus Vinicius?
