After the judge awarded the point to China (based on the fact that the system showed there was no touch, though the referee made a mistake first of all because the ball was actually in instead of touch-out), NED's coach could have subsequently challenged that the ball was in. Instead he was warning to withdraw and seems like the players were affected.

it was actually in Macau, not Hong Kong. 2014 WGP was probably the summit of Japanese NT's performance after London.

I think it's dependent upon the match between Japan and USA later. If Japan wins (3:0 or 3:1), they may still get a change to qualify (not sure about that) or at least make it to the podium?
