Tiffany started and played the whole game and ended with 25 points (52%).

Gabi is back, she played the whole 3rd set.

Ninkovic had a great game. And clearly the reason Tandara is playing OPP is because Luziomar wants to favor Leyva and give her the chance to play as he is her coach in the Peru NT. Last season he could have used Malesevic/Gabi OH and Tandara OPP, but he never did, and every time as soon Malesevic would make a mistake he would take her out right way and never bring her back in, but now with Leya she makes a lot of mistakes but he never takes her out. Lorene should be playing as she could be the next OPP for the NT, but Luziomar can care less now as he`s the Peruvian coach and not the Brazilian one.

Someone posted on VolleyTalk that Pomi`s president has suspended playing his players until they turn the season around, does anyone knows anything about this??

Well their problem is simple, they have played with 3 different setters and none of them can fix the problem, and the problem is that Guerra/Martinez/Starcevic are not good receivers, they would need a more reliable OH, but there`s none out there at this moment, or they could hire Castillo and she plays as OH (2nd libero), Bergamo did this last season with Suelen cuz Sylla was not reliable. And Pavan is doing OK< but not great, she`s showing beach/indoor are 2 different things, and I`m not sure if works playing both at the same time.

edit: "I apologize with the sponsors and the fans - says the president VBC Pomì Massimo Boselli Botturi - for yet another unseemly show that this team has offered. The results of this first round are clear and reveal an attitude that does not reflect the history of this company, the significant investments of members and sponsors, the passion and the warmth of our fans. Today we have witnessed the worst match of this first leg, unfortunately full of bland performance without biting and without character. I think it's time to make drastic decisions starting from the one communicated to the captain to block the salaries until the performances in the field will not be respectful of the economic commitment sustained to set up this team. The two days of rest and tomorrow have been suspended (Monday, ed

I`m glad you found those videos, the quality is much better than from the ones we get, I hope this channel streams regular season.

Vow 2 games at the same time?! I have never seen this before, I wonder if the final will have men`s and women`s at the same time also.

I`m glad Hisamitsu lost, simply because that shows even if they loose 0 games in the regular season they can still end up loosing in the finals.

That sucks, last year SporTv showed both semifinals plus the final, hopefully they change their mind and decide to broadcast the semis again.

Or at least someone will stream online somehow. They did stream the quaterfinal Minas vs Fluminense.

Skowronska made her debut in the loss against Osasco, I don`t think she played a whole lot, but scored 6 points. Tuesday Barueri plays Osasco again valid for the start of the 2nd round and Sportv will broadcast, hopefully she plays and we can watch her.

U r missing the point. U brought it up the time zone thing, and that is the troll ..

In this case we can say Zenit and Lube only beat Cruzeiro this time because of the time zone thing right?? I guess next WCH they should play in Asia, that`s they only way he will find out who is truly the best.

I just wonder how Belgorie won that WCH in Brazil and Cruzeiro finished in 4th that year ?/ :cup:

Anyways I`m done with this topic. Enjoy your day.

    Exactly.

If there's one thing holding back Sada Cruzeiro from becoming stronger. It is the player rankings. I won't deny that. But if they abolished that..
What will happen to the balance of their league? When was the last time there was an upset in the Brazilian League? The bottom teams are really bad and the mid-tier teams are just mediocre. And all the good players are going to the best teams that can only afford them. Yeah that's bad and sad.

when was the last time they had a upset in italy?? We already know exactly who the TOP 4 teams will be...and its been a few years this way.

Anyways... I`m not the only person here in the forum that knows u r here only to troll. I have seen many people calling u out because your comments makes no sense.... Just keep trolling as much as u want...this forum has been dead lately, at least u r always here and try to get people to talk, and that is a good thing. :rose:

Would Taubate, SESI and Rio SESC survive in the european championship? With their terrible service pressure they are putting on Sada Cruzeiro. I have big doubts with that.

Which teams does the Italians and Russians must beat in order to reach the finals?? Polish, Germans, Turkish, and all the other small teams for the smaller countries. Do you really think the Brazilians would loose for them  ???

And these BRA teams you mentioned can certainly win or loose against any Italian and Russian team for sure.

BRA teams not putting service pressure?? Clearly u don`t watch the Brazilian League.... have u watched Lucas service lately? His serve is like a bullet. And by the way, one of the best serves in the tournament has been Cester, everyone is struggling with his soft serve.

I agree, the best league is not the one with the best team in the world, but with the best players overall. But in this case we should probably ask Italian Players which League is the best, do they think it is harder to play against European Players or against Brazilians?

In Brazil you have a couple of teams with players that are Olympic Champions, World Champions and so on. But in Italy how many teams have a OG or WCH champion player? Let me guess, one and where is that player from?

All these players playing in Europe are just tired of loosing for Brazilian Players...including Italians

Bruno left Brazil AGAIN because his performance was not that great in Brazil, he was not able to lead his team to victory and there were a couple of setters that performed better than him, but now, if he was not good in Brazil but he`s great in Italy I would just assume playing in Brazil is tougher .....at least for him.
Apart from the TOP 4 teams in Italy.....I doubt if you take mostly of these players playing for the remaining teams that they would survive playing in Brazil, a lot of them would not even be enough to sit on the bench, same thing if you take them to the Russia SuperLeague, only a few would survive.

But let`s be real, what makes Cruzeiro and Zenit so strong to set them apart from everyone?? 2 Cubans....if you take these 2 out... They both would be still strong but not nearly as they are right now.

Last final Leon did not play that well and Leal played well.....no surprise Cruzeiro won.
This final Leal did not play that well and Leon did play well...no surprise Zenit won.

If it is true Leon might move to Perugia next season. Well, the next WCH final will be Cruzeiro vs Perugia. Just saying :win:

@Kk15...this response was not for direct to you, I did quote u, but then when I tried to change it to make my own post and not a reply to u, it would not let me do it, sorry.

All Star game on December 23rd. Italy vs World.

    Italy
    OPP - Egonu,Sorokaite,Mingardi
    S - Malinov,Cambi,Caracuta
    OH - Marcon, C.Boseti, Loda,Ortolani
    MB - Chirichella,Bonifacio,Stufi
    L - Sirressi,Spirito

    World
    OPP -Haak,Pavan,Tomsia
    S - Carlini,Papafotiou,Hancock
    OH - Hill,Nizetich,BartschScuka
    MB - Stevanovic,Kruijf,Heryrman,
    L - Leonardi,Parrocchiale

There`s no foreign libero in the league that`s why Leonardi and Parrocchiale were selected for team World, and there`s only 5 foreign setters, the 3 selected plus Woloz/Skorupa but leaving these 2 out makes sense as they are both playing Champions League ( If they were to get injured while playing a worthless game they would be screwed.)

Anyone who speaks portuguese that can explain to us why Leal was so angry during the last time out and had a fight with the libero?

I watched the video but I can`t really understand what they are saying, I think I hear Leal saying " you need to respect me" but again I`m not sure if that what`s saying, but in the end I can understand exactly what he`s saying and Leal says " You are doing nothing"

I think Sergio said something to Leal about the way he was playing, and Leal got mad and told him to shut up once he ( Sergio) is playing just as bad as him.

We know who it the best team, but we also know is the 2nd best ( JT  ). The battle for the final spots in the final 6 will be awesome. It is hard to predict anything and it could come down to the final games, I think Ritache is the only one who might have no chances at this points.

I like Kitsui but seams like JT plays better without her. I still hope she recovers and gets back, I like Yuka Meguro.

Toyota got so close....I was thinking they were actually do it, but oh well....once the final 6 starts it will a different game and I don`t think Hisamtsu will go undefeated. Neriman is such warrior.

I hope the Rockets reach the finals, they were brave to go into it with a all Japanese squad.

I think this season has been great so season and the playoffs will be even better :box:

GREAT NEWS the videostream website is working again... :woohoo:

I remember Polish league last season (or maybe the year before, not sure) had classfication matches for every rank, even for 11th :rolll:

Oh ok yeah...and their format is really stupid. There`s no quaterfinal...only semi-finals and then all these worthless 5th to 11th place,

but still.... I guess Poland is the one one that does... Turkey, Brazil, Italy don`t do that.

Yes, obviously people who regularly post on this volleyball forum about the matches they've been watching all season despise watching volleyball

Yeah, it might matter to Liu Xiaotung if she gets a chance to impress the coach and play more but it doesn't matter to me particularly.

Let's say China win their first 7 matches and are already through, then they choose to play with the bench players. It means that the teams they have to play next have an unfair advantage over the teams China have already beaten with their usual starters. Does that mean I won't enjoy the match? Possibly or possibly not but it won't interest me as much as a match that matters. I prefer watching matches that mean more and I think the current format is too long and too many of the matches don't mean that much. The players are professionals and they all want to win every match they play, etc. etc. Of course this is true but these top players are here to win medals, not fight for 5th.

And yes, I do believe that a 5th-6th place playoff match doesn't mean much to players, maybe it does if they are real underdogs with no chance of winning a medal anyway who are just happy to be there. Why do you think that most sports don't have these at the highest level? Look at tennis, football, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, cricket, pretty much any other sport. Even the third place playoff at the FIFA world cup is criticised for being unimportant, not just by fans but by players and coaches.

But those are Domestic League tournaments, and yes they don`t have 3rd place match, and all that...and so all the Volleyball leagues does not have that either. If you loose a quaterfinal game you are done with the season, same thing when you loose a semi-final series you are done, there`s no 3rd place match in any volleyball league (at least as far as I know)
