Looking at the performance of Ecz, they actually didn't lose too many matches (but almost all to Vakif Bank). As good as Lang Ping for the Chinese NT, her team lost almost every match against the US NT in the Rio cycle (in the important tournaments). We cannot judge a coach by looking at his/her teams' performance against a specific opponent. That is not fair to him. Back to the match that Ecz got qualified to the F4 (when Thaisa was injured), he was doing a nice piece of coaching.
It won't happen in the next cycle I think

Zhu Ting is imo the most versatile OH in the world. She may not always be the best passer or attacker or scorer (although she usually is) but with her on the floor, she creates mismatches that even the greatest opposite hitter on earth cannot achieve.
That's why China won Rio. And that's the reason she is the MVP.

She was actually injured in the first set. The condition about her injury is still not clear.

Zhu was such a superstar in the 5th set!! I wonder why Naz didn't set to her more earlier in the match.

I think Zhu in VB is just like Kim in her NT. Sadly she's playing alone and nobody helping her.
Seriously Zhu today is even better in both attacking and reception than KYK but still lost cause of her team. sigh...
