Buket is not qualified to play for Vakıfbank.
We saw in VNL, there's a huge gap between Aslıhan and Cansu&Gamze...
And Aslıhan played last season as a starter for Halkbank, a play-off team in SL.
İmagine the level of Buket, a first division setter, in addition she's very "old-school", her sets are sky high...

This change will have a huge effect on the quality of the trainings, I think this is more important than Cansu not having a reliable backup...

What's going on with Guidetti, you can't grow an opp, two OHs and a setter at the same time...
You need some stability especially in the setter position...

Derya is a 17 year old, 1.85 OH, I think the player She reminds me most is Bricio...Derya is less explosive for now but seems more talented. She can hit at angles only players like Kim can.
And I think her ceiling is higher than Pietrini.

there are backup players and backup players...
Tuğba was a backup in Vakıfbank. Kelsey Robinson too was a backup in Vakıfbank. Thank god Karch Kiraly is not Guidetti.

Guidetti is trying to get Tuğba and Hande out of their comfort zone, but is this the way to do it I'm not sure...
No matter what, Hande will be in World championship roster, since she's in another level compared to Mislina, Saliha etc.
And Tuğba probably knows Guidetti would loan her if he really thought she's not competent enough.

In my view, by keeping Plak, Novara is cutting a role for Piccinini...Which is a bad decision in terms of volleyball.
It was obvious Plak was too vulnerable in reception, and in big matches Bartch&Piccinni will be on the floor...
They could let Plak go and get say Rabadzieiva, and could have been very solid with Bartsch&Raba...
But this means no playing time for the legend...

She has the charisma and passion for it but I don't think her English is good enough yet to glue the team together. As a captain one needs to communicate with the team mates a lot for encouragement and strategies etc. The language barrier doesn't make it easy. She is still working hard on it and improving her English continuously but she's not there yet.

Well, when Guidetti was asked by the turkish press for the player to replace Gözde as captain , Guidetti said the captain should be someone who pushes herself in front for the team and he has in his mind a name but won't tell yet. That sounded like Zhu to me.

Kelsey Robinson is not going anywhere. Vakıfbank posted a promotion video with her yesterday on their twitter&instagram account. What's the point if she's leaving next week. So, she stays.

Rasic stays too. According to Volleyball.it and google translate. https://www.volleyball.it/vaki…a-anno-pausa-naz-aydemir/

Who confirmed Buket Gülübay? Cansu does not have a full season behind her as main setter, and you bring in an 19 year old as back-up who was not a starter in youth NT.
I don't see that happening unless Guidetti is nuts.

2+1 foreign players is not as good a change as it seems...

Turkey does not have enough local talent to support 12 teams...Quality of the league will hit a major blow.
Take Fenerbahçe or Galatasaray, these teams have local stars Eda&Neslihan who are at the end of their career, and they can barely keep up with Vakıf&Vitra.
Who are gonna replace those players? and then be competitive with 2 foreigners...

Guidetti is selfish and thinks only for his club...He has the best young local talent (Cansu, Zehra, Ebrar, Tuğba, Derya)
The responsibility is ON HİM, not the rest of the league, to grow those players...
He does not have to play with 3 foreigners because he is allowed to...

He has the World's best player, Zhu Ting, who is practically a team on her own...
He can play with 5 locals alongside Zhu and can still be competitive both home and abroad...

ıf Cansu Özbay is not special, why would Vakıfbank bother to transfer her, when Naz was only 26 and they have another good setter Çağla who was 21..
By the way, some say Jamie Morrison was behind Cansu transfer, which says a lot if it is true since Americans know a thing or two about volleyball, especially setters..
If you have questions about Cansu, just watch Club WCH in Japan, Vakıfbank came from behind to lead the set 3-4 times with Cansu on court..

There's no question about Ezgi Dilik, She's too short and not talented enough. Period.

About Ceyda Aktaş, she's not powerful but tall enough (1.90) and young enough...I may understand she's not Guidetti's type of Opposite, but she should at least be called to the tarining camp in the beginning of the summer, where Gözde Yılmaz was called. Did you know Ceyda was the best opposite of 2013 U20 WCH...She must have some talent right?

About Janset Erkul, tvf lists her 1.86, It seems She gained an inch since 2015, I don't think Nilufer is a bad team, In Turkey, foreign players make the real difference, If Nilufer and GS swapped foreigners, Nilufer would come on top...Nilufer became pretty good with the addition of Bytsenko in mid season. they outplayed Seramiksan in play-out. Janset was the best blocker and Ceyda was the best opposite of play-out ahead of Meryem.
janset should be considered for u23 ahead of Aslı, this unimportant tounament is a chance for younger players to grow, Aslı played for Senior team and is too good for this level.

About politics and general mismanagement, several examples..

Ezgi Dağdelenler, She was part of the 2015 Nt roster and U23 team that won silver in WCH. She was not worse than Meliha, Melis etc. Actually she seemed the better all-around player..
After 2015, Pooff...She's forgotten. ıf she had been given enough chance maybe we had a reliable OH now.

Özgenur Yurtdagülen, Ceylan Arısan...It seems crazy now these players were part of the 2014 WCH roster. Özgenur's inclusion in this years GP roster is a scandal.

Saliha Şahin...The rumour is every big club wanted to get her but couldnt because her club demanded a big transfer fee. I can not buy that,Top clubs are spending millions of euros for bench players, remember Sheila? Here again we see a player who's outside of mainstream community not getting the attention she deserved. Saliha is still the best receiver among u20 OHs.
