Julia K rarely attacks on good passes.
But when Carol is in front, she gets to attack many balls.
Maybe Macris needs to involve her other MBs more.

Lucarelli is clearly past his prime, he's still pretty good player but nowhere near superstar status he once had: second season in Italy and he can't make any significant difference, and it's not like in NT he's as good as he was before 2018. 36yo Juantorena after full season of recovering from injury gave bigger impact today.
On the other hand, Fornal is a star already, we (I mean Poland) have crazy depth on OH position for next 5-6 years, it's the same like female US NT, Fornal isn't even a safe bet to make WCH team in the summer, and yet he crushed Civitanova today.
Didn't Lucarelli carry Trentino to the finals of Champions League last year?
Both Michieletto and Giannelli choked in the finals.
It's unfair to say that he hasn't done anything when he went to Italy.

I think Novara should point out who specifically told them that they are already qualified before they played THY. That would put pressure on the person or entity to be accountable for this mess. If it was entirely presumption on Novara's part, then I think they have no case here.
And if in the case Novara learned that they are not yet qualified the day they played Moscow, then shouldn't that be motivation enough for Novara to win at all cost? Their fate was in their hands that day.

Being petty in social media is not a good look for athletes. Again, I would agree with you that Thaisa is probably jealous of Zehra's looks but she will never be jealous of Zehra's performance.
I would argue that the difference in the level of exposure to international games differs greatly for both Thaisa and Zehra.
Brazil has evergreen MBs who to this day still maintain their high level of play. Thaisa is playing behind the likes of Fabiana, Walewska, even Juciely and Carol Gattaz. At the age of 21, Thaisa has already won her first Olympic gold medal in 2008 Beijing. She might not be a starter but that speaks to the level of talent Brazil has at that time. By 2009, she already replaced Walewska as the starting MB.
Zehra, on the other hand, is getting the benefit of being a starter for Turkey which speaks to the level of talent Turkey currently has. Aside from Eda and Zehra, no other MB can perform at an elite level in international games. But then, at the age of 21 Zehra has not won any important international matches. One critic to her is that she disappears in important games.
At the age of 25, Thaisa has won her second Olympic gold and was a key player in that monumental win against Russia in QF.
We shall wait and see how Zehra develops her game by age 25 and if she can be a deciding factor for the Turkey NT.

Why would Thaisa be jealous of Zehra's performance? Looks probably. But never the performance. Thaisa is what Zehra wishes she could be as a Middle Blocker.
