Gryka with some serious injury during tonight’s game 😭😭 If Pierzchała is not healthy enough, we will probably end up with Jurczyk and Centka 😭 But at least Maja Koput will be on a long list.

Referring to the part about not watching the matches - he does watch them, statistician Kacper Duda who works with Lavarini in Milano, told about them watching Tauron Liga at every free moment during one of the interviews with Joanna Kaczor and Polsat’s people on YouTube. You can find that episode.

About the roster - last season, Lavarini said that each of the absent players had presented their reasons for rejecting the national team call-up. He respects that and doesn't intend to make those reasons public. Later, it turned out that Alagierska was pregnant, Pacak was getting married or Obiała was recovering from an injury. I completely understand Olivia's rejection cause she was in terrible shape. The only question mark is actually Górecka, because we haven't learned her motivation for leaving the national team, unless I'm mistaken. And this whole drama with Pierzchała (who is injured again ☠️). I understand his actions to some extent and I'd like to see if he's drawn any conclusions.

I also don't see anything wrong with Łukasik being called up despite her lack of playing time, as she has proven many times that she can rebuild, opposite to Jurczyk and Centka, who are in the same situation this season.

Btw, I’d love some surprises on the list like Moszyńska or Łyczakowska, probably the only setter in the whole league who is middles’ enthusiast 😍

When do you guys think will we know out roster for this season?

    The deadline is May 13th.

Stysiak won’t be available during the first week of VNL (her brother’s wedding) so I guess we can finally expect Szczurowska’s debut. Or it will be just Malwina + 5 OHs 😝

    Play-offs

    Rzeszów - Bydgoszcz

    Budowlani Łódź - Chemik Police

    Opole - Mielec

    BKS Bielsko-Biała - ŁKS Łódź

Rzeszów and Budowlani should win without big troubles, Mielec plays incredibly well recently (including the win against Rzeszów) so Opole may have some difficulties, but they should win as well, BKS vs ŁKS - you never know which versions of these teams will appear, but I bet on ŁKS.

Agree! Bannister and Sieradzka are very strong Opp duo. Pity that management wont keep this.

I'm sorry, but who is Grbavica?!:sos:

She plays for FC Porto, Portugal this season (with Murek, and Veltman who is supposed to join ŁKS). She is 24, 191cm tall, played for NT team many times, as OH and OPP. She was considered to be a great prospect, but unfortunately she had a serious injury and underwent surgery. If I’m not mistaken she scored 144 points during 21 matches this season. Overall I would say it’s not the worst move, but Rzeszów could definitely find someone on a higher level. The question is whether she is going to be their first option or just a safe substitute.

Btw, really talented OH Leonarda Grabić from Croatia may play in our league, her agency which cooperated among others with ŁKS, Opole or BKS sent her name to several clubs.

One of the managers confirmed that these players from 1 liga will play in TL next season:

    - OPP Magda Bagniak, 183cm, 25 years old

    - MB Patrycja Wróbel, 185cm, 24 years old

    - OH Marta Twardoch, 178, 20

    - S Karolina Hochołowska 180, 23

+ he believes Aneta Burzawa (OH) and Nikola Witkowska (MB) will join them as well so probably they both will play in Kalisz next season

If Martyna Grajber returns to the Tauron League in the new season, it will probably not be to Chemik.

It all depends on where her husband will be playing in the new season.

If it's somewhere in Silesia, Martyna will probably want to be close to him.

    So, Bielsko, Opole?

Grajber will play in Budowlani. So I guess Fedusio won’t join them after all

German OH Romy Jatzko is rumored to join Uni Opole

Adamczyk, Sobiczewska, Moszyńska, Bińczycka and Mazur all stay in Mielec

The best MB of 1 liga Nikola Witkowska (185cm, 25 years old, 7th best scorer of the whole league 🤯) will probably join BKS

    Polish Cup Semi 1

    Developres Rzeszów - Budowlani Łódź 1:3 (22:25, 25:19, 13:25, 18:25)

    MVP: Maja Storck

    Bannister 11, Dorsman 11, Heyrman 10 /// Storck 23, Damaske 20, Buterez 10

Quite a surprising result, and Rzeszów wasn't even close (Heyrman face at the end of the 4th set said everything ) Btw, I don't understand the commentators' enthusiasm for Alicja Grabka - she only played to the MBs 8 times during the entire match. If Nowicka is predictable because she plays on the wings and has always been criticized for it, then the same should be in that case. Kudos for Storck, probably her best game this season (56%).

How about Alicja Koprowska? She will be 17 years old. Tomsia has convinced her to play as OPP and i really liked her during U18 WCH, way more than Pinderska.

167 points so far in the second division which makes her 20th best scorer of the league - she had some good games with 24, 18 or 16 points but also a few with only 2, 4 or 5 points scored. She has of course time to develop.

I think Jasper only received an offer from Budowlani but she will stay in Rzeszów eventually, and with all due respect to Marrit, if I had the money (and Rzeszów has), I would invest in a player who would contribute more offensively, even with a weaker reception. To me, she is the same case as Busa or Milenkovic a few years ago in Chemik Police - a solid name but also a lot of limitations. She is 6th best receiver but only 33rd scorer of the league. And when it comes to Bannister, I believe she is considering some offers from Brazil. About their middles - of course, someone will suffer from the lack of play, but Developres is a safe environment financially, so I'm not surprised. Until another strong club with significant resources appears, who can prevent them from hiring the best players in a given position?

Good news is that ŁKS's situation has been stabilised and Cechetto's contract finally ends. She will go down in the league's history as one of the strangest transfers. Beside Gryka, another polish players who could join the team are Murek and Łyczakowska.

And from what I heard, PGE wants to invest even more in Budowlani, which makes sense looking at Lampkowska or Wenerska joining them. I guess Storck didn't meet expectations, so I wonder if they will try to replace her?

Next to Jurczyk, Iga Wasilewska's contract at LOVB also ends so I hope she will be back to Poland for at least one season. I want to see those slide attacks once again <3

I think it's time to start this topic because several discussions have already started in other threads.

What do you guys think should be a part of NT this season?

    My wishes:

    S: Wenerska, Kowalewska, Grabka, Nowicka

    OPP: Szczurowska, Stysiak, Smarzek, Rasińska

MB: Korneluk, Pierzchała, Obiała, Gryka, Dróżdż (maybe Lelonkiewicz (Pacak), Kecher)

OH: Piasecka, Orzoł, Łukasik, Czyrniańska, Lampkowska (Fedusio), Górecka, Damaske, Grajber-Nowakowska, Różański

L: Szczygłowska, Łysiak, Suska, Łyduch, Pancewicz

I do really hope Lavarini will call all the best players and let them prove themselves. It's so sad to listen to the interviews, for example with Nowicka or Szczurowska when they said that Lavarini justified his choices saying only they don't fit into his concept of the team. What is your concept then? Letting Stysiak, who is chronically out of shape or Jurczyk with no block and no attack play instead of young prospects like Szczurowska or Pierzchała? If nothing changes, I am the first person who would like to Stefano to leave.

Btw, this season did not bring any great performances from young players or outstanding performances from more experienced ones (only Pancewicz really deserved some praise, maybe Kazała but I don't think she will be called), but MB Natalia Dróżdż really impressed me, Julia Orzoł after a rough start of the season really stepped up, she is so dynamic. I think it's time to let her play during VNL. I am incredibly curious about Olivia's form after a great season in Japan, where she finally attacked as often as she did at her peak at Legionowo. We also need someone with stable reception that's why Grajber/Górecka are needed!

When it comes to youngers, unfortunately Milewska, Szewczyk or Podlaska didn't prove themselves, at least for now. Pinderska seems to choose playing as OH and scored only 100 points in the second division, but there is one really budding prospect - OPP Nadia Sikora, 19 years old, 187cm with 271 points she is 3rd best scorer of second division in her debut season and already with some offers from TauronLiga's team. Her jumping serve is rock-solid, I'll keep my fingers crossed for her development, because our OPP position looks the same every year and I guess Stysiak won't exceed a certain level.
