Idk why Lavarini has been playing with the same team pretty much the entire match

finally he put Damaske in, I want to see Smarzek for longer than the double sub but Stysiak is not bad today

Matthias is there really no chance to make Cekulaev an opp instead? she's wasted on the bench
Weske had 8/12 in attack after 2 sets so no need to change her
Kojima is digging everything rn
the pipe with Uzelac is beautiful
honestly Serbia can be really dangerous if this is how they're playing without Boskovic, they look pretty good
Smarzek should play way more often honestly
Honestly I think Dom Rep looks much better with De La Rosa here than with Rodriguez during VNL. She is not very creative and play high balls but she is quite accurate and this balls are way more comfortable for Martinez/Gonzalez.
it may look like this, but they played against Colombia and Mexico so far with her. Let's see how those moonballs are gonna work against China. She is quite accurate, I agree, but the tempo of those sets is just so slow that I feel like they're gonna struggle against any slightly better blocking team.
those first touch sets by Castillo to Pena are so good ![]()
25pts by Bella Haak and Sweden still didn’t win a set.
This girls makes such amateur mistakes, such a bad positioning in defence and reception too. So many gap between players
also, just 3 attacks by middle blockers in 3 sets against Thailand is ridiculous
Kinda off topic but Did Maja Kaczmarek(now Yenipazar married to Murat Yenipazar) ever play professionally?
She is training with Karayolları in 1.Lig
In Poland in 3rd division (II Liga).
Mexico takes set 1 against China ![]()
In general I thought during that match that somebody needs to tell coaches and setters that high balls are not a crime
Sillah has such an amazing physique but the quick sets were too inaccurate to make use of her height and power most of the time. With slightly higher and slower balls she could be even much more dangerous IMO.
I agree that Sillah has the physique to score from highballs, but maybe she prefers such extra fast sets, because from what I remember, in her Hungarian team she also hit from very fast sets like this most of the time.
I hadn't seen Sillah play yet but I totally get her move to Conegliano after watching half a set. She's very explosive and could be a good asset with Gabi and Moki next to her
yes, she's so good
but also Mori today
she already has like 7 or 8 points
Gustafsson was so messy these last balls...
unfortunately, because till 21:18 she played quite well but then they lost 21:25 ![]()
Which Polish players are free at the moment? Probably not many right?
without official new club announcement from the ones that played in Tauron Liga last season:
Alagierska (was rumored to Japan?), Medrzyk (rumored to Bielsko), Milewska (was rumored to Budowlani?), Gawlak (she's pretty good and no club announced her, also no rumors), Fojucik, Nowak, Szczepańska - all 3 played in Mogilno, I doubt they'd go to Turkiye. Maybe the 2 Polish players already signed somewhere else.
Spławska is great. She was already pretty good in Stężyca but she improved so much in the USA, especially her blocking.
That's really good because so many Polish players go there and later disappear or end up in low level teams but for her the improvement is visible.
I stopped when it was clear her husband had no idea who Sarah was talking about when she was explaining who Maja is….
hahahah yes he seemed confused lol
I think Sarah's choices were not bad, her husband's choices though, especially the OHs were... questionable ![]()
There seems to be a lot of drama regarding the Vietnam teams, this is not the only one. In men's U19 tournament there were also complaints about the Vietnamese players being in fact older than allowed, belonging to U22 competition.
There is already a big discussion about the senior team for the world championship, I'm sure there will be more drama. Already at the Challenger Cup last year, Belgium and Czech Republic demanded tests regarding the Vietnamese opposite and same thing will probably happen again. I believe it should be before the start of the tournament though, not like here to avoid this mess of not knowing who will your next opponent be till the last second.
who is SKT?
Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres
AU doesn't consider itself to be a league. I think it's accepted their role as just being something fun/preseason training.
I think AU is really fun and is fulfilling its role well. It's fun to watch, the rules are a bit different but it's interesting that the players score the point for their individual rankings, yet still play as a team and that the best players become captains and can draft their teams. And also each year they bring better and better players. This year's edition will actually have lots of great players and olympians. As something happening before the regular season of the big leagues, I believe it's great.
In Poland for example, as a fun pre-season tournament we have the Pre-Zero Grand Prix which is supposed to have a similar role as AU I believe, but noone actually cares about it. It is a beach volleyball tournament that initially was supposed to be a form of preparation for the regular season. The thing is, the best teams don't want to participate in it and if they do - they sign pro beach volleyball players that play instead of their regular players. So, opposite to AU - it can't even really be considered a proper pre-season training and it isn't popular among the fans.
Semeniuk is playing really well again, and yesterday he made a great sub with 100% in attack
