can Timmerman/Lohuis play every match like VNL. I will enjoy that much more than Belien/Koolhuis.
I still believe NL will not get good results with Buijs in lineup all match.

But it's hard to say that the technical plan wasn't right or that the staff wasn't prepared, because the players are the ones responsible for implementing the strategies on the court. So my point is that as outsiders we'll never know if the defeat must be accredited to a lack of a good plan or a lack of skills of the ones who should make the technical plan work. What I can see right now is that NED's offensive players (i.e. Buijs and Sloetjes) are struggling to score more than 10 points in a match since the club season.
This is why both should have not appeared in 3rd set.
There is no good replacement either. Daalderop never gets to play even in unimportant matches past years. Now there is no plan B or C.
Only plan A for which Sloetjes and Buijs need to score. Relying on Buijs no team will achieve greatness...

Congrats Italy deserved win. Really disappointed in the Netherlands! Morrison isn't a good coach during the match, so many stupid mistakes. I miss Guidetti
De Kruijf is so good!
When she was out, they lost many points. Also Bongaerts played good. Hope Morrison now understands she has to be the first setter! Sloëtjes and Beliën played really bad
I miss Guidetti too. The way he developed Debby Stam to amazing libero and Pietersen to important OH at 2016 Olympics is admirable.
Who has gotten better under Morrison?

They trained for weeks in 40 degrees celcius. Had a man imitate Egonu in training. And still end up losing 0-3.
Only De Kruijff played well.
Now Turkey and Poland among others in the way of Olympics.

Lohuis was great in VNL, try her instead of ghosting Belien.

She is young and will just get better ( if she plays and not sit on the bench).
But Im not sold on her yet for Tokyo. Would be necessary to see her performance against A teams of Serbia,Italy and China.
Im all for the young players, but Lorene should have played more in club and nt in order to be able to help Brazil in Tokyo...I think Sheila might be more helpful....a little to late for Lorene.
Lorenne sitting on bench is more qualified than Sheila sitting at home being pregnant. if it is too late for Lorenne it is definitely too late for Sheila.

Netherlands wins it in 3-0. Last set was a bit messy. Eventually Bongaerts came in and did a good job. IMHO she just should be the first setter!
Finally Sloetjes had a good match. The start of the match Dijkema was so tragic lmao. Bongaerts impact was obvious. I like that Daalderop got more playing time.
