Bronze is our reality at the moment. If Turkiye did not chit we would probably be 2nd, but i think 3rd place is more accurate at this moment in Europe.

I feel sorry for Kurtagic and some other pleayers who did not give up mentally because we can talk about skills for a week but playing in Istanbul against an almost perfect team is very hard mentally.
It will not be a popular opinion and I am free to be bashed, but what I am not feeling fair in the recent years is having all finals in Istanbul. For example Sweden was a very good prospect of organizing big events and somehow still stay neutral as Sweden is (for now!) not likely to reach finals. But there audience is up for the good matches. This mental advantage is undeniable and I would like FIVB and others to take this seriously. Whoever, literally, is to play Turkiye in front of Turkish crowds are underdog like this.
Nah it cuts both ways, if home team is losing such a crowd just makes you have more pressure

At this point, the cut line is still at 30th and Switzerland.
However, Thursday in Africa can move the line. Kenya ranked 22nd are a lock at this point, but face Cameroon in a semifinal. Cameroon winning, will put Cameroon as one of the top 3 for Africa, and the winner of the Egypt vs. Rwanda will be the second top 3 team. If Kenya lose in the 3rd place game, then the cut line is 29th.

1. Japan vs. Iran, winner gets AVC 3 spot. If Iran wins, the cut line will move to 29th. Iran will be eliminated with a loss. Japan will be in on ranking points.
2. France vs. Greece, Greece would lose around 5 points in a sweep, but still have a gap to South Korea and Bulgaria.
3. Serbia vs. Croatia, Croatia would be eliminated with a loss. Croatia upset 3-0 would give them 15 points, just put them outside of the cut line. Still would need help and likely a second win to make the top 30.
4. Egypt is the highest ranked team on the opposite side of the bracket and will play Burundi and Burundi has negative points for their world ranking.

Iran really put China in trouble. Let’s see if they can keep this up for the rest of the match. If we can find one or two more high-level players, we could enter the territory of Asia’s top teams.
Edit: Looks like Iran crashed, but China is the strongest team in Asia. Hopefully, this is the beginning of Iran’s progress.

Because they played this tournament once, how they can count it again, with the same value. There is no sense.
FIVB is stupid because they think usa affecting norceca is problematic but the 5 qualified teams affecting wc 27 results is not.
But Canada won twice, so they should get points for winning twice.
Kanada earning more than 30 points already for this tournament is a joke, for example japan earned only 6 points for 4 wins and lose 13 for today lose.
