I thought it's gonna be Red Sparks win after 2-0 lead. Then something happened, Red Sparks attacks easily thwarted in 3rd set, and their defense full of holes. Altos also got 2nd wind...

Interestingly, I think Altos is good at spreading the attacks and the 2OHs were playing gvery good.. Abercrombie was not so active.

As much as I don't like Pyo Seung Ju, she was very good. She was the main driving force in this match.... And Altos very lucky to have Pornpun.. Her sets were so on point in this match...

Red Sparks was too relied on Mega and Gia that their attacking pattern easily read and blocked...Yeum HS showed her weakness in her lack of creativity and speed.. Added their not so strong defense...

Shin libero from Altos is the most successful changing position I know.. From OH to libero, then become very good libero..

Yes, Dain is probably the most stable setter in the league. A close second would be from GS Caltex, both Kim JiWon and Ahn Hyejin (who is unfortunately injured). Moma is also more active in this game; in previous games, she was a bit lackluster. Overall they really studied IBK well.

Interesting.. I think some people say that Ahn Hye Jin is "unstable" mentally, depending on her mood... That's why she rarely called for NT, even when her club won the league.

For Kim Da In, her stint as full 2 yrs back up for LDY paid off. She kind of "absorbs" LDY style and adjusted it with her own physique.. Especially the quick set and the "jump backward set" that really like LDY .She also improve the "run around set" (emergency set where the setter in hard position to set) which is LDY trade mark. She's the best in the league for the last 2 seasons. I hope she can maintain her performance and improve it as well.

It seems that Red Spark's current popularity with Indonesian fans has spurred some kind of reaction:

It seems some Indonesian fans show placards supporting political candidates during matches with Red Sparks, which some Indonesian fans frown upon. Also, it seems some of them don't follow cheering etiquette (which is common in Korean and even Japanese leagues) during matches. It's good though that KOVO is taking action against it, but I also hope Indonesian fans don't feel alienated about it.

I agree with KOVO.. It's in election campaign year here in Indonesia now. I think some of those candidates' supporters "infiltrate" the genuine VB fans and make use the mega publicity.. I feel sorry for those K-fans and others that feel disturbed by the "unruly" supporters....

Hillstate seems starting to find their play.. With Jung JY back in line, they have to re-establish their team as the queens of blockers and quick attacks... ...

Hyemin has always been a good defensive OH, but she's a little weak in attack. This year she is getting better. I personally don't think Lee So Young is similar to Park Jeong Ah, at least her defense is really good. Overpaid by a bit probably.

I think it will be a long time before Lee So Young is back, I believe based on previous reports she'll recover by December-time or by next year depending on her condition.

What makes her overpaid for me is her prone to injury.. Even when she was in Kixx she couldn't play full season without injury every season. And her injury is the kind that take long to rest (few months or so)... Luckily, Kixx succeeded in raising Kang So Hwi to back her, and now replace her... My personal opinion, she's kind of "overweight" for a VB player, that put more pressure to her legs, hence the injuries..

Well, I hope Hye Min keep improving....

Hillstate has to do something if they don't want to keep the losing trend, despite Jung JY return.

Peppers is really can only rely on Jasmeen on attack.. Park JA is getting worse, not just in NT. Is she already pass her prime?

Park Hae Mi keep getting better and better. I wonder if she's going to back to bench once their highest overpaid player (Lee So Young) back from injury...:D

Who is Pepper's coach? Not only foreign but also young... Where Pepper got him from?

Pepper is still too reliance on Jasmeen, cos they don't have other options.. Lee Han Bi is unstable,

If Altos' MBs can sync well with Pornpun, Altos can have more options in attacking.

Megawati continues to be a beast

FYI, Mega in Indonesia has been nicknamed by fans and media.. Her nickname is: Megatron. like the one from Transformer... I don't follow Indonesia volleyball (shame on me as Indonesian), so I don't know the history ...:D

Selling Hwang MK, added injured Go Ye Rim and Jung JY really weakened Hillstate a lot... They doesn't have good bench players to replace them.. I'm a big fan of Hwang Yoon Joo, but realistically she's way passed her time... I also agree Moma hasn't contribute much so far..

It seems that Pornpun hasn't adapted well with with Altos' spikers. She was benched in the last 2 sets, and they won...

The coaches must improve and utilize the bench players if these 5 set matches continues.. With tight and long schedules, they have to watch the players' stamina and fitness...

IBK Altos and GS KIXX are official names that almost never mentioned by the TV hosts....KIXX was written on the large banners when they were Champion.

Altos I think never written even when they were Champion. or maybe they wrote it in Hangeul, I couldn't read it..:D

Is there no SEA player in Kixx? The Cuban player and Kang SH dominated the score sheet...

Pornpun was in Romania before together with LDY. Unfortunately, her setting style doesn't match Romania's high sets so even when she started playing with the team, LDY was still starting (before her injury). I think she's definitely a great addition to the team; she was more stable than Hakyung who was IBK's main setter since last year.

Sorry, My mistake.. Romania, not Poland... She Joined halfway last season.. I thought she 's gonna be LDY replacement as main setter, and continue at least 1 more season..

    Anyway, she's in SK now...

Her quick set can play good role.. Too bad IBK doesn't have good MBs, at least in that last match... She has time for chemistry improvement with IBK spikers, which are also on low performance in the last match....

As an Indonesian I'm surprised and also proud that Megawati played very well on her debut in SK V-league... It made me want to "actively follow" the V-league again after being "silent watcher" these past 2 yrs (since the twins left..:D).

Is it Pornpun as the IBK setter? I thought she would continue in Poland after LDY moved to France. She would be main setter there...Apparently not, since she's in SK now...:)

I have to learn the "new" formations of these teams...

Anyway, my fave teams now are Hillstate (Yang HJ still there) and Red Sparks (fellow Indonesian there)...

FYI, for those who want to watch the replay , I found YT channel 'BuSim'....

Bell seem tired already.. Short play time given, only 1 pt...

There are 2 good things from PS this season: Lee Ju Ah, from "cannot block" MB previous seasons to top 5 blocker this season.... and the emerging of Jeong Yun Ju, that I think one of candidate to be the best rookie this season...

Hillstate still continue their winning streak.... I hope they will continue until the end of this season...

Peppers really needs a new main OH... Lee Han Bi is "stagnant" on bad performances...maybe for next season...

    Nice deserved win for Peppers...

Altos vs KGC will be interesting... I think Altos has better chance to win....

103 swings? that's even "worse" than Diouf....I just hope Bell doesn't fall halfway because of fatigue, injury, or tired....

The new coach of Altos has so far made NT Kim Hee Jin appear and scoring nicely... She is really a "monster" in OPP position... With Santana's improvement and if he can find a good 2nd MB , Altos really has chance to compete in top place...
