    congrats for getting the ticket...

KYK played like she's not injured and could do no wrong... Lee JY was also on fire....

Like always, the blockers worked good... Yang HJ the star this time among the MBs..

Kim Hee Jin payed well in the first 2 sets..

Added with Thai players' errors...Notsara didn't play well, maybe because her previous injury... and sadly, as zenith mentioned, she and her fellow golden generation couldn't get through the olympic....

Side note: I find it interesting how often Lavarini singled out Lee DY in timeouts...

    So far:

    - started from the first match v INA, I think KYK was already cut back a lot on her attacking role.. Lee DY was "avoiding" setting to KYK.. She set to the MB or OP more.. I'm guessing it was instructed by Lavarini to lessened KYK injury...

    - KOR service is excellent... almost every player has aces ... KYK had 3 aces in arow vs INA.. Kang So H had 5 aces in arow vs Iran.. and Kim Su Ji had 3 aces in a row v KAZ... not to mention other players like Kim HJ, Yang HJ n Lee DY who had random aces... their opponents had a hard time receiving...

    - They are one of the best blocking team ... the blocks were really great in frustrating their opponents... Yang HJ n Kim SJ were performing very good in blocking and scoring...

    - their reception could be better... many times Lee DY had to set too close to the net, which made her not having many options to set... luckily , Lee DY is good on "emergency" settings in her club that benefited the NT as well..

    - KAZ was the hardest opponent so far.. I think Chinese Taipei is not better than KAZ, so the odds are thw same...

    thank you zenith ...

Watching KOR.V INA, I feel like a "traitor" for fully supporting Korea, even wishing Kor had an easy win... because I'm from Indonesia...😁

Back to basic: Yang HJ topped the block per set list and with significance margin from the 2nd place...

Hillstate won all their matches in round 3, no wonder their player voted MVP... I thought it's gonna be Yang HJ, but Lee DY also deserved it...

Her sets made their attackers topped the Open Attack, Quick Attack, Quick Open Attack, and Time Difference Attack Success Rate with quite a difference from the 2nd place in each of their respective list....

Really surprise of the result.... I can count that as successful league-debut for Kim Da In as setter....

I attribute the blocking scheme of Hillstate for the win... Especially blocking Lutz so often that make her down and make spiking-errors...

It seem to me there are no other players in Kixx that are on the level that can cover Lutz in scoring, like Kang SH and Lee SY do....

Btw , is there any info about Lee SY injury? Is she gonna be in along break? She already missed all matches in round 3....

I hope the injury is not so bad that can make a player retire early.....

I hope it's not major injury....

I notice that Hillstate is like "cursed" on foreigners since season 2017-18... They had problems with their foreigners, injured or under perform... I thought Maya stopped that "curse", then she got injured...

Coincidently that season was the first season Lee Do Hee took over as the main coach and Lee DY also took over as the main setter...

    Altos v Pink Spider

Altos the first "victim"... Couldn't do much without their 3 key players.... 3-0 quick win for Pink Spiders.... If I'm not mistaken Pink Spider used their rookie to replace Lee JY ... I haven't watched the replay full, sorry if I'm wrong...

No sure if everyone is aware but the NT members will not be playing the last match in Round 3 for their respective teams. zenith mentioned this in the '2020 Olympic Games Qualification' thread. The NT members have already convened at Jincheon Athletes Village yesterday (Dec. 16).

This weaken Hillstate a lot .. they never tried their backup setter in the league.. I hope the backup setter can perform well, considering she's also a rookie.... Plus though Lee Da Hyun can replace Yang HJ blocking, not the scoring part... so yeah, all the wing spikers have to up their performance...

Pink Spiders is also gonna be weaken a lot , since many pts taken by Lee JY.. She's also never been subbed.... I guess Lucia will take a lot more swings...

Also they never subbed Kim Hae Ran , which means it's also a new experience for their backup liberos....

Kixx can stay on top, since only Kang SH that is called....even stronger if Lee SY back from injury... They can "breeze" through their match...:)

Altos can become the weakest team of them all... 3 key players are called (OH Pyo SJ, MB Kim SJ, and OP Kim HJ)... The coach must be having serious headache...

KGC I think can cover Han SY, but doubtful for setter Yeum HS and "super" libero Oh JY... The new coach must be suffer the same headache as Altos' coach...

Finally Hi-Pass... Only Park JA called, but they don't have foreigner.....so who got the most swings now?

The final matches of round 3 are going to be interesting...

So far Hillstate is the "strongest" team on the top 3... Not just that they only lost 3 matches, but their lost were from the other 2 of the top 3 teams.. No bottom 3 teams can win them...

While Kixx n Pink Spider had suffer defeats from bottom 3 teams....

Go Ye Rim is getting worse on attacking, though she's still good in receiving and defending... only 4/22 v KGC ...

Jung JY played 2 positions as MB and OH is kinda refreshing for me.. and she's getting better at it, especially in attacking..... though she should improve her blocking...

I wonder if this forum is read by Lee Ju Ah...:D

"People" (including me) are complaining about her being called for NT in Korea NT thread, then she pull off a good play v Hi-Pass with 14 pts ( 7 spikes, 6 kill blocks, 1 ace)... I guess Lavarini saw something that we didn't... I hope she can keep and improve that performance in NT...

I want to see her going abroad, but sadly she said in one interview she doesn't want to go abroad because she has lots of injuries and korean league takes vare of that very well.

She could be a absolutely threatening weapon to other teams both in her club and NT, thus korean NT will be much stronger with her.

I agree with you... That's really sad ... Like I mentioned before, Lee JY is on the same path as KYK back then,,, but it seems she is "just" becoming like Yang HJ... A top K-player that is too good to play in K-league, but not interested in going abroad... too bad...
