It makes sense to make Changning as the backup Opp if Xiangyu does not deliver. Yingying is not really good at Pos 2 and it would be a waste to move Zhu in that position because of her blocking.
Sometimes I think its unfair to have Zhu in a team since she is a brilliant attacker and blocker

Iirc, VNL offers bigger prize money for the top 6 placers than World Championship. Of course, World Championship gives world ranking points to the placers apart from the lower prize money.
Turkey has always taken VNL seriously. So Im expecting Guidetti to send his best team. I also think it is the best opportunity for him to try the best combination of players at his disposal.

I don't think she fits the all-around USA OH mold. There would have to be massive improvements and adjustments to her game.
The USA doesn't need her to be that anyways (they have plenty on the team or in the pipeline) They need the OOS weapon that they don't have. I hope playing behind Boskovic can help her with that. (playing both OH/Opp for Ecza)
By all around OH I mean balanced OH and not defensive OH. MBH was terrible receiver before but she gradually improved. If JT can do that then her place as OH in the American team is mostly secured. She can hit balls in system and out of system already. I just hope she doesnt turn out like Brankica (no offense to her though).
I think it is now very certain that JT wants to play as OH which I think comes from her pride as OH in college. If she improves her reception she could very well be the next all around American OH after Hill, Larson, and Robinson.
What I like about Sylla is she is very vocal on court. She is a big celebrator which can be infectious to her teammates. However, the opposite is extreme as well. when things dont go her way, you can almost feel the frustration from the screen. And when she is on a slump, she is on a slump. The most obvious choice would have been the setter but I just dont see Malinov and Orro as the captain type. Moki would have been perfect but being a libero she cannot be inside the court all the time.
If SWP can improve her reception and be as decent as Adams then it would be just fine if she goes to Conegliano. With Wolosz's fast setting, SWP and Courtney can contribute more in attack as both of them prefer fast sets.
