Is it offensive to profile someone as gay? I don't think so.
LOL but Karakurt definitely looks lesbian to me.

So the new V.TV powered by Eleven sports only broadcast V1. Where can we watch V2?
So ... what's the deal with requiring your phone number to pay for registration?
Anybody gone through it? Does it have to be Japan phone number? can you just put in random numbers?
That's the old trick to block people living outside Japan from registration.
so it's gonna give a trophy?
I think so. Japan is going to host the qualifier like World Cup. That draws another question: Is Japan a permanent host of Olympics qualifier now?
If true then no wonder DAZN broke their contract. 12000 is tragic that's close to dry.
Really don't understand their business plan. Their servers are unstable that's why they block non-Japan IPs. I'm sure VTV can grow more if they have a better plan and know how to develop oversea markets.
Still seems like scraps ... Do you know if there is any breakdown of the three options: Women's, Men's, Both?
I wonder what the fan enthusiasm is for men's Uni Ball, and especially since you folks bring up baseball and basketball. Maybe those sports will bring money to UNIVAS.
I wish JVL could step in and tell UNIVAS not to take away volleyball
They don't have breakdown. They didn't show how many are yearly subscribers and how many are monthly.
I don't think UNIVAS is profitable. It just doesn't like how NCAA does in US.
Display MoreUNIVAS just went behind a paywall with regards to VOD, and consequently downloading. Live streams are still happening for the Autumn Tournaments but I bet they disappear for All Japan
You can get one week of free VOD in their app, but you can't watch the matches on the Web (PC). Not to mention the app is available only in the Japan App Store, so not an option
The Live Streams will offer that silly camera switching view experience for Premium Payers
This can't really be about being profitable. How many people would sign up for this? It can only be so somebody's uncle can tell people "At least we're not giving anything away for free".
What was the number for VTV paid subscribers? 5,000? in all of Japan? UNIVAS will be lucky to get 500, considering students can all get it for free.
So ... no HS, no Uni, no V2 any more . Way to grow the game Japan
According to business report, VTV paid subscribers are 12,000.
In terms of success they are below J League, with Japan's baseball central and pacific leagues being the biggest in Japan.
After the women's basketball team's success at Tokyo Olympics they gained even more sponsors while JVA and VL lost sponsors. The only one in the women's division unaffected by the lack of sponsorship is Hisamitsu.
You only think of women's side? Don't you know men play volleyball in Japan too? Did Japan men's team do well in Tokyo Olympcis? Why men's V.League still lost audience while men's B.League gains more?
The basketball league that JBA ( an organization like JVA) used to organzied was unpopular in Japan. People didn't even know there was a such league existed.
FIBA (like FIVB) forced JBA to reform the basketball league in Japan. Now B.League draw more investments and audience than V.League by becoming a pure professional and market-oriented league.
If basketball can do it, so does volleyball.
In my mind teams already have some name recognition, due to the history of their companies being involved in the league.
so you are telling me that just by changing team names to cities is going to help. J-League (the soccer league) had to have companies invest in franchises to begin and then continue to invest. Does it make sense to do this with teams playing in arenas that are 5K or less? The basketball league B-League (men) has a ton of teams and probably a better fan environment but in the same size of arena.
Many teams in the v-league are maybe the primary tenant, but do not own their arenas.
Let alone I don’t want teams to be fighting for their lives financially every year, like in Italy.
Do you know the history of B.League? Why B.League is being more successful than V.League? Basketball is less popular than volleyball in Japan. Why?
If basketball players are doing fine in Japan, volleyball players will be fine too.
The answer is YES. The qualifier in Japan called World Cup 2023.
Japan Unveiled As First Hosts Of Olympic Qualification Tournaments
When he played in Turkey, he didn’t have his family with him and he f*cked around a lot. I believe he is alone out there again. I guess those who are close to him know what to do lol
Who are you talking about?
I think Boskovic stepped on the line. Brazil did not see it.
The violation was so clear. I really hope FIVB can improve the level of referees. You can't just depend everything on the challenge system.
What Ngapeth said in that reply?
He said he was going to organize a general boycott that Volleyball World won't be about to breath.
China is mentioned here:
Not an original source.
I found it here Source One. The news wrote China but not a quote. However, the other news agent wrote "Philippines and other coutries''
Middle part i think. Or end.
So you didn't read the whole article?
The last sentence is where the Philippine was mentioned. I'm not suprised at all. You can learn from this news PNVF, Japan volleyball federation seal partnership. Both Japan and Philippine agreed to work with each other to promote its national teams. But I really can't find where China was mentioned by Shunichi Kawai that Japan wanted to co-host with China.
It was mentioned that either China or the Philippines.
Which paragraph or I misread something?
Display MoreJapan announced today that they will aim to host the men's and women's world championship 2026. For the first time might be a 32 team in the competition.
Kawai said "We aim to hold both men and women in 2026." He also considering co-organizing events with the Philippines and China.
Kawai aims to host WCH2026 both men and women
I don't see he mentioned China in that articl. Did I miss anything?
