I've heard that Tillie did the same as Boyer, and Rossard rejected a convocation after he was left out in Tokyo squad, but I don't know if the latter is correct, I'm not that much interested in French volleyball and I just thought he didn't make it because Rezende selected his roster from Tokyo squad (coached by Tillie) and B squad (coached by Rezende in the summer), and Rossard wasn't present in neither of them, because in this B team there were mostly juniors and youngsters. Either way, I just hope he'll get a shot in NT once, he's a better player than both Louati and Tillie.
honestly louati is not bad but yeap Rossard should definitely get in over Tillie now that his dad is no longer the coach.

They didn't beat France with out of shape Ngapeth, while having 2-0 lead during OG qualies, nor they competed with France during VNL bronze medal game.
But yeah, France is so unconvincing besides ECH and VNL, they disappointed few times on OG/WCH already, and it doesn't look like they'll be a dangerous team here, at least from what we've seen so far today. I think Tillie wasted a chance of refreshing his team with guys like Rossard - he decided to play with its standard lineup throughout an Olympic year, and they definitely lacks an athleticism among outside spikers, especially in comparison to team USA.

well it should still be enough to get the win. Besides, this isn't a weak team either and all of them are going to play at the OG. Brizard is still a great setter. Patry and boyer are at a similar level. Only bultor and louati are downgrades here.

I refuse to believe that they will cut Trevor. He has more to offer than Rossard (who struggled yesterday with Serbia), Louati (inconsistent) and Lyneel (just old and ineffective)
I would also put Yacine above Thibault since he was instrumental and was one of the reasons why they're in the Olympics (when Trevor and Thibault were out due to injuries). It bugs me that Timothee Carle is not part of the team when he played a role in the OQT.
I wish they can up the roster to 14 or 16 as precautionary measure in case Covid strikes .
so true. Wish it were 14 as well. My ideal 4 OHs would be Ngapeth, Clevenot, Rossard, then Louati, but looks like one of them is going to have to make way for Tille. They should have brought Carle instead of Gueye and played with 3 MBs since gueye is nowhere near the level required
