I'd be at least a little skeptical about Tabacuk's availability. NCAA players are always quite unpredictable. At least that's been my experience. But maybe @fire_erik_sullivan can say more about it.
she should be available for VNL.
anything in August-beyond probably not, unless she’s given permission -
@fire_erik_sullivan: Have you also heard the rumor about Maia Dvoracek joining Dresdner SC that was mentioned here? And what's your opinion of her?
she’s lighting up the Swiss league
Id have to go see what she did in CEV cup though. I think she was pretty good against MulhouseShe’s a bit on the smaller side. A tough server
-
Rumors in France is that Grome will go to Mulhouse
-
There will be no U21 World Cup next year. It won't be held again until 2028.
oh they’re switching the years? This is all so mess
-
Age group events are so ?? these days.
U21 events should be 2007 this year so they're eligible to compete at Worlds next year, right?
nope. NORCECA events are 2006 this summer. USA's roster is weird.
Since U23 overlaps with NCAA the non-NCAA players from this group are going to compete there with the U19 team (Larkin, Incinelli, Livings, Peterson, Kubik, Johnson and Omoruyi)

I thought they were using points this season, like in Europe. Their Volleystation page has been using points since the beginning of the season.

points is the secondary criteria
they posted the tiebreakers last week. Volleystation was probably just using points by default -
Dallas did clinch, but MLV uses win % as their primary metric (this moves San Diego up)
1. Indy 18-4 (53)
2. Dallas 17-6 (47)
3. San Diego 11-11 (30)
4. Omaha 11-13 (34)
5. Orlando 10-12 (31)
6. Atlanta 9-13 (28)
7. Grand Rapids 9-14 (28)
8. Columbus 5-17 (19)

In the previous season.

fake awards lol

We need to be patient with LOVB, because they're just into their second season. I'm mostly worried about the next season, because 3 more teams won't be easy to fill (expecially when MLV will have 2 more for sure and maybe some others coming). And if they start moving players like they did at the end of the 2025 season, there is a huge chance all teams could be weaker at the same time. LOVB needs to be brave and try to sign more USA NT players and some European NT players as well.
All of the teams will be weaker, they can't avoid that... LOVB wants this idea of parity rather than forming teams to compete.
There's a rumor that Alexa Gray is leaving, which will hurt the OH pool even more.
The problem is NT players dont want to be here. The level isn't high enough (because its new) but also they can't convince any of the good coaches to come over.

Meanwhile Indy Ignite qualified for playoffs. Dallas Pulse will soon follow. And there are 5 teams withing 8 points fighting for the last spots.
Omaha Supernovas are ranked third, but fired their coach and now risk not to qualify with one more game played than their competitors. That would be such a huge flop for a team like Omaha, when they managed to sign the best setter and libero - but Hentz was later traded to Grand Rapids for Oglivie - of the previous season.
Hilley is not the best setter
and Hentz was terrible for Omaha. Im not sure she's even a top 4 MLV libero this year
-
IMHO that's a problem for all the leagues of the world.
yea but they at least have some capable of scoring
outside of Alexa Gray and Larson I guess, the lovb ones stinkkkkk
-
Poor JT

She got let down by Alanko/Kingdon/Palgutova
the OHs in this league are mostly bad.
Fitting the teams with the best pair (Hoffman/Gray) is into the final.
Eggleston/Kubik might be the third best (Id say Larson/Anne were better)
-
Kinda sad to see such an empty gym for a semifinals. Anyway, hope SLC gets the win in this weird deciding set.
they're hosting it in a random city too. not close to houston or salt lake lol
-
Any link for those who don't have American tv?
https://thetvapp.to/tv/usa-network-live-stream/
or LOVB's youtube

Come on Micah save the day
Or just sub all your players for the third and go JT/Amber-ball in the golden set

that was my strategy.
pull JT and just make SL just get mored tired before golden set
-
on a good day (and she's had lots of these this season) Serena Gray is unstoppable
I find it surprising Houston's middles aren't committing.
If any ball is in system I want two hands in front of Serena. It's gonna be a point either way lol
-
I need Houston to do something, I cannot handle an Austin * SLC final

it would be extremely on brand for the league tho lol
-
Tomasevic gets a lot of criticism but I like her choices lately, she made good subs last game and is starting both White and Palgutova now, they deserve.
Tomasevic had a terrible opening set

why would they spend the whole set serving Claire Hoffman when Alexa Gray is on court??
-
It's not like Fahr and Chirichella were delivering a monster performance.
Fahr and Chirichella don't need to deliver the kills on the stat sheet.... Their presence is enough to get the middles to flinch the other way when they're in system.... Milano didnt have that yesterday and they were in system more than conegliano were
