Straube finally has 1 point

Serbia, along with Brazil, if they were complete and in good shape, were the only teams that really worried me as an Italian. We're strong ok the best team in the world hands down rght now...but also very VERY lucky, there's nothing else to say. Brazil without Ana Cristina and now Serbia without Tijana. I'm waiting for my fellow countrymen to say, "Oh man we play without Degradi."

We all know you hate Italy but not you making a mockery of Degradi's injury. What a freak.

DVV putting Weitzel's post-game interviews in their story? why? why not as a post?
Well at least you saw it because I didn't
I have no idea why their social media game is so off no wonder nobody cheers for the girls
I also despise weplayvolleyball because it focuses more on random male players than they do with wnt -

We jinxed her but she is very young, I would bet on her long term, she is such a natural spiker
Akimoto is still adjusting but she's got that raw power fo sure. Wait til you see Valdes

That can happen actually. Her contract isn't fixed to 2028 so if the federation deems her unsatisfactory which well is true they should be able to replace her but unfortunately all of the good coaches already have their contracts in until LA so it will then be a question of who will replace her
Philippe Blain is available ...if they can afford him

How the heck did Sullivan get injured

Are there news of that? I think Netherlands also wanted to host
But my god the conditions in Thailand is just inexcusable. They've been gloating about their budget since VBW made the announcement.
Btw Bricio and some of her teammates dressed in the waiting hall where they held the photoshoot and other media stuff. I'm just happy to see her
tbf Netherlands wants to host everything every year
not that I'm complaining since it's easier for me to get there and they have top notch organizers. -
I can't stand that I/we haven't found the volleystation url yet
there used to be an app that had some of the active tournaments called VIS something, but of course it cannot be found anymore after I deleted it recently lol. I thought maybe the code is to be cracked from there but alas, no luckI liked seeing the starting line ups around half an hour before the game starts, so I don't have to rewind to beginning of stream if I tune in later

sitenoise has all the best links for that but he hasn't been around for awhile. I'm sure he'll share it once he returns

If Timmer is going to be useless anyway I'd much rather have Jatzko there

OT but I was looking through some old videos and I saw that Romy wears glasses in that 1 video honestly didn't expect that when they were doing some kind of German trivia

There isn't an official rule about "proper female jerseys" but obviously we're seeing that for women's volleyball the updated style is sleeveless. For example Errea blatantly said they are following the basketball sleeveless style for both men and women since it doesn't hinder when players swing their arms as one of the pros of the that style. Yuki Ishikawa even said he had a slight armpit burn from his Perugia shirt in his recent interview for Volleyball Monthly that's why they had to resize his jersey.

Absolutely gutted
. Weske cannot be trusted with the team's offense. -
It still doesn't make sense to me to take Timmer who didn't play VNL and was mediocre at best in Universiade to WCH instead of Kindermann who was with the team all summer. There is no press release yet from DVV, only the Insta post, so I wonder if there will be any explanation for Kindermann's absence.
"Pia Timmer hat aus sportlichen Gründen den Vorzug vor Lena bekommen."
DVV's reply. I copied that from the post

Sad that they did not bring Iwasaki as backup setter. Nakagawa ia good but she can't rotate to the front if Seki struggles match-long.
I think Iwasaki would rather not answer the invite if she'd play as backup

What happened to Kindermann oh my god

Based on the group photo from this Thai staff via Story
Arthur Cohen (stats guy) came with the squad. I don't think I've seen him before? Matthias Gymnicus was he present last time? he was in that video that featured Straube Strubbe and Nestler

For those coming from Europe, all stopovers headed to Thailand will be in Middle Eastern countries there's no way they will risk a direct flight that far
