Ngapeth had the game of his life tonight. As a fan of France even since 2015, I'm feeling elated right now. They deserve it
-
On the offensive side of the game, Patry and Clevenot have done a wonderful job of sharing the burden with Ngapeth that was trusted as the troubleshooter of France for quite a long while. Le Goff was so close to butchering great team effort, but they made it anyway. Congrats.

A red letter for France. But it's not over yet, Conte is super dangerous, one big step forward needs them to clip his wings first in the SF. Good luck.
-
Hot favorite? Because Poland just lost to Iran?
Dude tell me who is then
-
If France lose 0:3 or 1:3 to Brazil and Argentina defeat USA 3:2 , France will be eliminated
But this way isn't the US gonna be playing Poland in the QFs? I don't think they're ready for an early duel with the hot favorite right now. Most of all, it's totally avoidable by defeating an underdog

This spinning bird-eye view is absolutely an overkill.

If you had not watched Italy Superlega this season, I have no words for you.
Sorry I've watched enough of Rossard as the backbone of Valentia. VNL was supposed to be the stage for him to set the record straight, but he failed, to say the least, to outshine his team mates, proving yet again that somehow he's just out of his element with France.
-
France again, choked in big tournament as usual.
Tillie was only 2 points. Everyone knew the coach loved his son.
But picking up Tillie and Locati over Rossard, was a horrible mistake.
Rossard had an amazing season in Italy Suerlega this season.
And he's one of the core player for team Valentia.
Tillie's dad still ignored him, ironically.
I don't think Rossard could do any better in this situation. If former international performances are anything to go by, he isn't the answer to France's troubles clearly, though able to rise to the occasion for his club mates.

That Olympic nightmare of disorientation returns for France....
-
Rossard got good marks with his club performances past several seasons. But he almost never fails to be a fish out of water when on the national squad. It's weird to me.

Match of the season so far arguably. Zaksa has a promising pair of OHs but less impressive with reception and a decent setter to hold the team together unexpectedly well, compared to his last international performances. They’d be much better off with a real powerhouse on the squad.

I agree with this. Plenty underestimate Volkov all the time but he brings some much needed power to Fakel and his drive is also a big bonus. It helps to keep the whole team motivated
His drive is the signature of his game. Things he does between points or some unwanted but entertaining spillover from the way he plays...that’s a big bonus to me watching a volleyball match....

If everything clicks, Moscow has what it takes to say no out of hand to this 3 Italian-horse race of the champions league. I’m still bitter about them at rock bottom in that deciding duel with TT and so much the worse in Sokolov’s absence
-
WOW. I won’t say Fakel has a way with Moscow, but two wins in a row are definitely gonna be their security blanket going into the playoffs against Moscow.

I’d somewhat disagree About NG. He’s a moody character, Extravagant and uneasy to handle as we all know. But On the pitch I found him generally committed. He really one Of those keepIng it together during last 2 years. Team construction in Last2 years Plus the way he got used as defensive OH certainly frustrated him- as did his difficulties killing the Ball in pos 4. things could have been better for sure but that’s what it is. I see no future for him in Kazan anyways, and in Russian league in general. Michailov is still a dominant opposite in my view, who suffers from butko s Predictable distribution. The main Libero is tragic imo the main source of kazans trouble this year together with butko. Both should be replaced first thing. Bednorsz as offensive OH is a great fit, trust he’ll perform well again once things get back on track. MB’s I find ok.
Frustrated...what does it take to drill it into his head that applying himself to the defensive side of the game is no less heroic than scoring loads of points? Maybe him humbled self .
-
That’s why I asked before is he THAT good that clubs rather to deal with his antiques like this?
Not bad actually, give the devil his due. Being among decent all-round OHs going and able to give his teams a strong defensive leg up, but France, of all teams having him on the squad, should be the only one expecting him to spearhead the attack. .All in all, he has his market value a bit overrated and lets it go to his head

Never a lull moment with Ngapeth...lol
